My mom HATES the original 'Pink Sugar' (because of the burnt sugar note) but loved this at first sniff, so that should tell you something! I do understand the Beach Walk comparisons because they're both coconut perfumes with yellow florals🥥🌼.Top notes are Coconut Milk, Bergamot, Orange and Green Mandarin; middle notes are Sugar, Tiare Flower, Ylang-Ylang, Gardenia and Mimosa; base notes are Vanilla, Caramel, Monoi Oil, Sandalwood and Moss. On the other hand, Pink sugar bottle look like perfume my 13 years old cousin would use or something you would pulled out of the Y2k time capsule. I love sweet, gourmand scents and this one pops up along with my favourite perfumes often but I genuinely do not understand the hype. And if I'm honest with myself, deep down, there's also something really attractive about smelling delicious.

It’s as if you’re melting sugar and it ends up burning and the sweet aroma mixes in with the fiery smoke. But having brought Pink Sugar back into the fold recently, I will hold my head up and admit that I like it. It's a very pretty scent in cool weather- on a sweater- or sometimes, worn on my skin under work clothes. Easily the best Pink Sugar flanker i personally have tried, and as strong sweet and addictive as the original; but definitely also the most divergent from the pillar. I was particularly interested in this having the word “creamy” in the title and coconut and vanilla notes (which I love).

Unfortunately as soon as I put it on all I had were middle school lockerroom flashbacks and had to scrub it off. The trick to wearing scents as sweet as this is to spray from a distance or apply with a light hand, as in large doses this fragrance can be headache-inducing. What I love about this version is that there is a sharp, masculine earthiness in the dry-down on my skin. It’s one I don’t mind reapplying and overspraying either because it can be found relatively cheaply.

i was hoping it'd become less pungent as the day went on, but that nasty scent is still all i can get from this multiple hours later. Sticky sweet raspberry opening, followed by the lovely combination of cotton candy - burnt sugar - caramel.
