Our guide covers the basics of headlight restoration, and provides tips and advice on how to maintain car lights.

It wasn't super smooth (ended up re sanding the passenger side again due to the sanding drill rough and being harder to control when swinging sides. Tips for the next user: - Velcro polishing brush loosens a bit quickly from the rotating head, so remove it with care. Filing a complaint If you feel that we are not helping you in the right way, you have the right to file a complaint with the supervisory authority. Tip; during the sanding keep the headlight wet with water with a soapy water, otherwise you will be busy pouring water haha. The pad which is included to use with the plastic polish also came apart after about 1 minutes use at a moderate speed using a cordless drill. The T-Cut kit didn’t do well in our last test three years ago, so we hoped that the brand would have upped its game. Or, if you’d like to find out about our complete range of products, feel free to check out our homepage .

Start by washing the headlights with standard car shampoo, before drying them with a chamois or microfibre towel. There are, of course, other ways to clean and maintain car headlights, including a couple of homegrown, DIY remedies that offer only mixed results – using toothpaste and fizzy drinks being a couple of examples. The sandpaper is sensitive and should be a bit more of it, but if you keep well wet and put little pressure, it will go well for a long time and you will not get any deep scratches. If you’re storing a car for a long period, we’d recommend covering it to stop UV eating away at the protective clear coat of the headlight covers. The pack includes a tube of polish, lens sealer, a tiny sanding block and three grades of abrasive paper. The finish wasn’t quite as good as the more expensive kits managed, but if you’re on a budget, the Visbella is a great option. Cleaning your car’s headlights regularly will not only ensure effective day-to-day performance but will also help to reduce the long-term wear and tear associated with exterior plastics. Lots of things can cause headlights to discolour or turn cloudy, but thankfully restoring them is a job that you can do yourself at home with the right tools and know-how. If you feel like the polish compound doesn't do much, try with any other compund (even mother's aluminium compound).
