Both car seats are pretty much the same very sturdy and great recline so my little one is very comfortable. We found out later that there was a problem with the older models, in that when crumbs of food fell in to the part of the seat in between the childs legs, it could stop the straps from working.The rigid bits of the straps sit higher and kind of stick out and the belt doesn’t pull the rigid bits down close enough to the child to be safe. Correct fitting of all car seats and boosters is of paramount importance to make them most effective in the event of an accident. Check at the back of the car seat that the belts are not twisted and that the pull belt (that runs forward at the bottom of the shell) is in the middle of the system. The fabric is nice and soft but I think an improvement would be to use fabric that is more stain and mark resistant or at least with a cover that is easier to remove. I have to be careful that the harness straps don’t slide off Georgie’s shoulders and if it’s too loose, then she can pull her arms through.

Please be aware that countries outside of Europe can be subject to import/customs tax and duty payable by the recipient. It is perfect for inquisitive toddlers as its extra high position gives them a great view out of the car. We then opted to move the seat to be forward facing which freed up so much room but left us with one dilemma, the seat was situated in a bolt upright position, meaning that Georgie’s head would slump forward when she nodded off. With its clever functionality and ease of use, it’s clear when you first install this seat in your car why it has won so many awards. The straps are also very easy to adjust – you just pull and they become longer or shorter, and a safety indicator at the base of the seat turns green when the straps are tight enough, so you know your child is safe.

I noted that you can only recline other brands before the child sits in the seat which seemed hopeless! We recommend that babies shouldn`t be left in Group 0/0+ car seats (infant carriers) for prolonged periods.
