ANALYSING & MEASURING: In the Pro version there is a separate tab to analyze your object. For example, you can measure point-to-point and point-to-surface distances. This way you can make sure that all dimensions have been transferred correctly before printing. For more complex technical parts, dimensional accuracy is important for the function. The widened aluminum heat sink paired with the front close-fitting efficient cooling fan for a better heat dissipation effect and lower the temperature of the throat pipe, thereby reducing the possibility of nozzle clogging. The only downsides of the standalone filters are that they’re smaller (and might not have as much of an impact on larger printers) and that they run on a battery charge. If you are just starting to print with resin, the free version will be enough for you. If you already have some experience and mainly print complex technical structures, the Pro version is interesting for you.

Speed aside, it also comes with an anti-scratch film for the LCD screen. This is a great help in case resin spills onto the screen– you don’t want to have to replace the screen entirely or mess up your printer for good because of a small mistake! The Elegoo Mars 3 Pro 4K’s 143 x 90 x 175 mm build volume isn’t big, but there’s enough room there for modest batch printing and all the go-to resin print projects like small figurines, decorative pieces, jewelry, and minis. Mars 2 Pro supports the .ctb file format exclusively in ChiTuBox. This file format can reduce the size of sliced files by up to 90% when slicing larger or more complex model files, saving storage space and, more importantly, providing a more stable printing process. The chance of printer errors or crashes increases when printing files that are too large. Mars is still using the old .cbddlp file format. A Healthier Resin Printer? As another example of a detailed figure, I printed the Praetorian bust of Minormous on MyMiniFactory ( link to model). The all-metal body makes for a sturdy and reliable machine, while the automatic resin feeding makes for an extremely easy printing process.Ease of Use】PEI magnetic platform with a special coating and spring steel sheet for good adhesion and anti-warping, so that prints can be easily released or popped off by bending the print steel sheet. Removable Capacitive Touchscreen】The 4.3-inch removable capacitive touchscreen can be operated by hand-held or fixed on the base, and features a model preview function and pause printing function for added convenience. With an STM 32-bit silent motherboard, the X/Y/Z/E axes are all driven by high-precision stepper motors to effectively reduce the printing noise under 50 dB.

For a cheap resin printer, the Photon M3 boasts a relatively large build volume of 163 x 102 x 180 mm. The LCD size of 7.6” and 4K resolution holds up to that standard. INDIVIDUAL SUPPORTS: Already in the free version of ChiTuBox, the control over the support structures is very extensive. In the Pro version, this increases several times over. Not only can you adjust the geometry of the individual support structures, but you can also set tree structures, precise angles and branching. Even without the pro version, you can print miniatures and similarly detailed projects without issue. Actually, there are few differences (if any) between the detail quality of the Mars 3 and the Mars 3 Pro. Winner: The Photon M3’s free Anycubic Photon Workshop makes it a better option for beginners and casual hobbyists. The Mars 3 duo are better if you plan on purchasing ChiTuBox at some point.

Neptune2s 3D printer is equipped with a 32-bit motherboard and SMT32F chip, with a memory of up to 1M FLASH, which makes the system run smoother and faster; the silent driver ensures that the motherboard has silent printing and accurate voltage output, ensuring silent printing. Whether you think it’s necessary or not, the Photon M3 and the Mars 3 are also equipped with screen protectors. The Photon M3’s is a film that’s relatively easy to see and remove, but the Mars 3’s is slightly more hidden. Either way, you don’t need to worry about a resin spill ruining your LCDs. Between health concerns and a general distaste for bad smells, the fumes that resin printers generate are always a hot-button issue. Unfortunately, the Mars 3 doesn’t come with any type of filter. you can read about which resin types are available in this article. The Mars 3 is compatible with 405 nm resin. I can recommend the plant-based resin from Anycubic*). Elegoo’s Mars 3 uses a free-form surface lens and 36 embedded LED lights for better homogeneity. The Mars 3 Pro is supposed to be even more improved, with Elegoo stating that it has a 2% improvement in light uniformity over the Mars 3.
