The Logitech MX Anywhere 3 is a powerful mouse in a small form factor. Logitech didn’t skimp on the featureset just because the mouse is tiny. From Logitech Flow and per-app profiles to its high-end scroll wheel with multiple ways of scrolling, this mouse is fit for various professionals, including creatives and developers. Note that you can bring your settings to multiple PCs by making an Options account, but there’s no onboard memory.

There’s not a lot that comes out of the box. You’ve got the charging cable, you’ve got the mouse itself, and you’ve got this little receiver which you can use if your device doesn’t happen to have Bluetooth and when you’re unboxing the mouse, don’t forget to take the little receiver that’s just hidden on the top flap. If you have Bluetooth built-in to your laptop already, then you don’t need to plug in this extra receiver. Now, since this is a mouse designed for travel, it would have been nice if Logitech had included a case or a sleeve with it but they don’t. This mouse is pretty easy to set up and configure. You just turn it on, connect via Bluetooth and it allows three different settings, so you can pair this with three different devices at once. The laser points are built into the mouse and are also designed to be very precise and work on all sorts of surfaces including glass. Logitech claims up to 70 days battery life on a single charge. I haven’t had my test unit that long, but after 18 hours and 40 minutes of use, the battery meter in Options software still had three bars. Unfortunately, the software doesn’t provide an exact percentage. Now, one thing I want to mention for Mac users is when you install the Logitech software, you’re gonna want to give it accessibility permissions. Otherwise, the scrolling is going to stop working and it might take you a little bit to figure out why that’s happened, it’s because you haven’t given it accessibility permissions but it’s pretty simple. Logitech MX Anywhere 2S With the MX Anywhere 2, I can conveniently connect the mouse to multiple portable devices without having to re-pair frequently. It is a perfect companion to the multi-device K480 or K810 Bluetooth keyboards. The Logitech MX Anywhere 2 mouse sells for…I suspect that will mean it won’t come off the same way in the future and this is the last time I can replace the battery, but who knows. I’ve found replacement feet online but since this model is discontinued, hard to say if they’ll remain available. The design is pretty sleek, it has this matte finish which is really nice in the hand. It’s very comfortable, I don’t know how well that will hold up over time, it does seem like it will get scuffed easily but I haven’t really noticed that yet in my use and travels.

Now, another interesting feature that I know you’ll all love is the Logitech flow which allows you to effortlessly navigate across up to three computers and copy and paste images and files between them. The mouse uses the darkfield laser sensor which costs it to flawlessly work on different surfaces, even transparent glass. The DPI is set up to a maximum of 4000 which means greater precision and sensitivity during normal use. The MX Anywhere 3 is a boon for those using multiple computers or tablets. A button on the mouse’s underside, which ensures you won’t ever hit it accidentally, lets you easily toggle between 3 Bluetooth connected devices. That includes Windows systems, as well as Linux ChromeOS, iPadOS and macOS. This worked without issue for me across 3 Windows PCs. You can also have the wheel change feel when moving to a different PC (more on that below). Unfortunately the feature is a slider rather than more precise measurements, just like all the other features (pointer speed et cetera) in Options. One of the things that makes the MX Master 3 so hard to top is its innovative scroll wheel. It's a solid, machined steel wheel that can offer the smoothest, fastest scroll you've ever experienced -- 1,000 lines a second -- or easily switch to a tactile, line-by-line scroll. Either way, you get fantastic precision that lets you stop on a dime. And although the MX Master 3 is pricier and much larger than the MX Anywhere 2S, Logitech has brought its brilliant MagSpeed wheel to the MX Anywhere 3.

There are two ways to tell how much battery life you have left. The first is in the software, there’s a little indicator in the bottom. So, when you open up the Logitech software, you can get an idea of how much battery life is left. This indicator light on the top will flash green when it’s charged, it will flash yellow when it’s running low, it will start flashing red when it’s really low, and when it’s just pretty much dead it will be a solid red. Logitech MX Anywhere 2S Maybe, you’ll hear a lot of complaints that this mouse doesn’t really hold up over time. It starts to have mechanical issues, software issues, connection issues, and so on. So, in my use, I didn’t encounter any troubles. Logitech MX Anywhere 2S I never had any wireless connection issues using the MX Anywhere with a Bluetooth connection alongside my best wireless keyboard and the occasional use of my best gaming headset with a 2.4 GHz dongle connection.
