The book relates it to the name of the shop she lives in but her eye is green/red-br Another is an anime based upon the Novel and Manga of the same name by Yukito Ayatsuji. A live action movie based on the novel also exists. There are two sequel novels to Another which are Another: Episode S/0, and the newest addition to the series: Another 2001. The characters of Kouichi Sakakibara and Mei Misaki are interesting. As the story revolves around them, the writer has given both of them ample time and did enough of what he could with them in terms of characterization and development. I've seen some complaints about Another 2001 with how Yukito Ayatsuji has far too much repetitive information, however, as someone who hasn't read the first book, I didn't feel like this was true. Yukito Ayatsuji's writing in Another 2001 provides it with enough information to get by in understanding without having to read the first book; Another 2001 can be read as a standalone. That's not saying that I won't be taking read to the first book or the spin off, but if you only find interest in Another 2001, you don't have to read the first book. And at the very end of the year in the graduation photo, a figure appeared. One figure of the deceased Misaki. Note their is a title between Another, and Another 2001, called Another S/O that I didn't read. However, the events of that novel are referenced but never explained in this book. I felt I had a little gap of knowledge that impacted more on the main character than on the story. This is probably one of the more unique ghost/horror stories I've read, because for all intents and purposes there aren't any ghosts in it. The "extra" person is dead but they are truly resurrected for the entire year that "they" wreak havoc on Class 3 and its not really them doing it they are just as much victims of the calamity as they people that lose their lives. This makes it somehow far more worse than if it was just a story about some vengeful spirit.

Kouichi's interactions between the rest of the students in his class is very limited to none whatsoever except in a few that interacted with him fully like Makoto, Noboru, Takako, Junta, and Yumi. In the anime, Kouichi had a few interactions with them, but due to the curse and the new rule put out, all ignored Kouichi all together. At the inn, Kouichi has most of the longest interactions with them. Kouichi helps Manabu when he was stabbed and wounded, confronted Yukito after he hit Ms. Mikami, went through multiple groups to get Mei to safety when she was going to be killed by them, tried to help Aki when she was chased by Tomohiko, and was with the small group at the hospital to visit Manabu in the series finale. I give Another 3 stars not because I don't enjoy it, but merely because I had read far better novels by Yukito Ayatsuji than this one. Not that 2001 is simply a Dr Strangelove sequel. Ignore the bitter satire, and you’ve still got stunning special effects, immaculate production design, prophetic technology, transporting classical music, and all-out strangeness: Dave’s climactic voyage ‘beyond the infinite’ is as mind-blowing now as it must have been in 1968. Claims that seek to proceed with personal injury or damage to parts of a property (including the specific parts detailed in LTA 1985 section 11)) in mind should normally be pursued via the Defective Premises Act 1972 (which I will cover in my next article on this topic). When I read to the ending part, I realized in the end, the book cover spoils the ending for us all!! Hahaha. The ending isn't particularly difficult to guess either, especially because I was watching the anime adaptation of Another when I was also reading this sequel so I have no trouble noticing who the dead person is because she was already dead in Another. The explanation for the mystery is that instead of just one dead person hidden in the school there actually are two dead people, so finding out one dead person doesn't mean the curse is broken.Once the implied obligations are in play, we then move onto whether there is disrepair. It is a simple, but important point: the obligation only arises where there is actual disrepair. Another definitely has an interesting setup. The creepy gothic atmosphere of a cursed school. The classic ghost story vibes. The eerie undertones of old urban legends coming to life. There’s some really cool stuff in here that slowly evolves into an interesting conclusion that can be difficult to solve. There is one thing I particularly liked in 2001, which wasn’t elaborated much in Another, is (spoiler: Another) how memory manipulation is operated. Can’t explain too much without spoiling but it’s certainly intriguing. Also considering (spoiler: Episode S), the protagonist’s history that he already has his fair share of psychological issues with memory and such. It gives an edgier touch to the story, if not more psychedelic and trippy.
