It was such a heartwarming, womb-clenching experience to watch their patient and doctor relationship evolve into something forbidden, something lethal. As I said before, I do consider it a bit more of a psychological thriller than a romance, but it still had some romantic elements. I really did enjoy this book, it was one I found myself racing towards the end to find out what happens but at the same time not really wanting it to end. He has brutally murdered 11 people, delivering his own form of judgement, where the law failed the victims. I was immediately pulled into this book, and I have a theory- I think I’ve been reading too much smushy romance for the last couple of weeks, because this felt dark right off the bat.

Helping convicted serial killers try to understand themselves a little better and find out what makes their compulsion to kill is why Dr.Being the first book I’m reading by Wolfe, I wasn’t sure what to think about her, because I think she hasn’t been big among my circle of readers, and plus I avoided reading the reviews as well, so I was very blind.

Doctor London Nobel and serial killer Grayson Sullivan see things within each other that they shouldn’t: a kindred spirit. As she unravels the traps, her sanity tested with each game, she's forced to acknowledge the true evil in the world around her. This man might’ve been behind bars for the past year or so, but that doesn’t stop him from playing with London’s body and mind, and the end result is raw, passionate, and PRIMAL. It's dark and has dark themes and triggers, but to me it still felt more slow psychological thriller than anything else. Although London tries to fight her attraction to him, she forgets one KEY thing to seduction- the biggest organ that must be seduced is the human mind- and Grayson plays her like a sexy musician 😅💦.I need more time to arrange my emotions, but one thing that I know is that this is definitely a fantastic book. It can be a scary adventure with a precarious outcome when she challenges her fans to come along for the ride.

Although romance felt like a subplot in this book, I loved the chemistry between Grayson and London. It's been a while since I've read something that had me all invested and anxiously anticipating the next course of actions. In all honesty, this is not only one of my favorite reads this year, but one of my favorites from author Trisha Wolfe. The pieces of the puzzle, the chemistry, the consequences, the unanswered questions have me moving onto book 2 ASAP! This story was brilliant in every sense of the word and the author did something so extremely different.

I really love the homework done for the Psychology based elements of this book as they were super well done and everything seemed to make sense. Getting a new patient wasn’t in the cards for her but when she realizes it’s the infamous killer Grayson Sullivan, London knows that there’s no stopping what is about to happen.

I had so much hope for Born, Darkly and although the premise intrigued me, I was skeptical on how the author managed to pull a romance with a serial killer. I loved the pull between out two main characters and the sexual tension that came with it, the book seemed to focus more on this rather than the overarching plot which I really enjoyed.Although I think I gave it away to my brothers wife because she thought it was adorable or something because I definitely don't have it anymore.
