They work fine but i am worried it will cause a fire so thats why I have asked. Also I presume a reasonably competent (non-qualified) person can do this (taking appropriate precautions of course inc. turning off the mains supply). I guess an alternative would be to fit new GU10 lamp holders with LED bulbs and ditch the transformers. Do you think thy is would be a better approach?
