Tamiya's entry level kits use simple + head screws. The right screwdriver for these are not normal Philips drivers, but JIS (Japan Industry Standard), which can be a bit difficult to find. Kun ostat RC-auton rakennussarjana tarvitset myös muita tarvikkeita. Tämän Tamiya TT-02 mallin mukana paketissa tulee moottori ja nopeudensäädin, mutta tarvitset ainakin ohjausservon, akun ja laturin, sekä lähettimen ja vastaanottimen. Sarjojen mukana toimitetaan valmistajan toimesta ohjekirja, jonka avulla vioittuneet osat löytyvät samoin huolto-ohjeet.
