Six months ago his youngest son Nicky was kidnapped from his bed by a madman intent on punishing Steven. Strong willed and independent Jenna has a good heart and a lot of compassion for friends and students alike, but has a tendency to assume too much responsibility and fails to let those who love her take care of her. I was less convinced with Jenna's response to an issue that came up between her and Steven late in the book - it felt a bit too harsh given the nature of the issue and knowing Jenna's personality. Though his wife's desertion has soured Stephen on romance, circumstances throw him and Jenna together time and again. Readers may never use an unsecured free Internet connection again after plowing through Rose’s engaging new thriller.

He's no closer to identifying and stopping a monster and he keeps messing up the relationship he desperately wants to pursue with the first woman to make it past his shields since his wife's death. I have had to number them sequentially, even though they are stand alone novels, some do follow on and some times the correct sequence is not followed. I love how she stood up to a bullying parent and wouldn't back down on the failing grade she gave his son even though her weaselly principle wouldn't support her in that decision and she started receiving threats because of it. He is afraid of sleeping in his own bed, he won't smile anymore, and most heartbreaking of all, he won't hug his father.People are always throwing their head back and laughing in her books – and over something not at all funny. This was much better than the first one and that is saying something because I already liked that one A LOT. That's so yesterday, been there done that and they bore me as much as organ harvesting and child/human trafficking themes. As if the character roster in Rose’s long-on-suspense contemporary romance isn’t lengthy enough, one of them goes by two names: FBI Special Agent Griffin Davenport is better known as Gene Decker. On the up side, the thing I really loved about Stephen was that he is a rare celibate hero who actually believes that if he has sex with a woman he better be prepared to marry her, and so consequently doesn't sleep around.

He also has a tumultuous family life to deal with, including three troubled sons, and a matchmaking aunt.I was able to figure out the killer about halfway through but continued to challenge my choice almost to the end. After failing a star Quarterback and getting into a row with the students father about passing him anyway so he can play football, Jenna's now become a target to sick games but is this the serial killer, or an angry students revenge? When his teenage son, Brad, start to behave strangely, his teacher, Jenna Marshall, is determined to find out why Brad, her star pupil, has gone off the rails.
