although i understood why Xavier had to do what he did to protect his mom, even tho i didn’t necessarily agree but it was his mom, i wish he would have warned Aveena in advance? They may not hate each other through the entire book but they don’t even really KNOW who each other is because they have been communicating through notes without knowing WHO the person on the other end is! Deep down he was such a sensitive and troubled soul and you could see how his growing friendship with Aveena was having such a positive effect on him. Those chapters were well written because they gave the characters some depth, some reason, and made me like the characters enough to read on.

Dear Love I hate you" ist dramatisch, überspitzt und beinhaltet ein paar Klischees, aber in meinem subjektiven Leseerlebnis spielte das keine Rolle, denn ich war IM SUCHTMODUS🤯! for Aveena, i liked her but i don’t think she stood out to me as an individual character (at least compared to Xavier); however, i loved the confrontation scene she had with her mom and sister and how they finally talked about the dad’s death and how it’s been affecting them all these years. They are flawed, and make some major mistakes- but Eliah so wonderfully leans into their humanity, and their youth.I love finding new authors to read 😊, So I feel like my overall experience with this one was really great!

As a matter of fact I would say that he only like the reflection of himself in her tear filled eyes. Both can’t full BE for a variety of reasons- they can’t express their full selves because of the context of their lives- hurt by those that should love and protect them, so instead they resign themselves to fill the roles designated for them by the world around them. She’s a heroine that tugs at your heartstrings- because of her sweet soul, her broken spirit, and her vulnerable strength. This girl literally didnt even spare her bff and judged the fuck out of her throughout the whole book and showed herself as a saint but then when it comes to her heartbreak.He says if they get caught, he’s gonna deal with the cops since his mom is a principal and he got away with the stinky bomb prank with detention but it wouldn’t be the same for Vee.

I liked the fact that it was a bit realistic where rich boys do rich boy stuff and not behave like mafia.He said he put his confession in the poetry book but it said “Dear Love, I Hate You,” meaning “Dear Vee, I love you,” but fuck that. This book is highly recommended on booktok, and after a few hours, I finally got my hands on the ebook. One of my favourite elements of this book is that while Love and Zack are falling so seem Vee and Xav, never really knowing that they’re one and the same. I mean sure you can have a bad side and geeky side, but please don’t make comments like ‘… would he ever fall in love with the nerd?
