Rich and complex ‌notes: From the first sip to the ⁣last, ⁣you’ll discover a symphony of flavors,⁣ including hints of‍ caramel, vanilla, oak, and just a touch of ‍spice. When it comes to a truly smooth and satisfying whiskey drinking⁤ experience, Benchmark Bourbon stands⁣ out as ⁢a ⁣must-try‌ for all whiskey enthusiasts. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, this exceptional ⁤bourbon offers ⁣a ‍unique profile that sets it apart⁣ from the rest. Finish: White pepper and cinnamon spice build throughout the finish; some rye spices and a bit of sweet fruit and brown sugar continue; moderate overall spiciness; fairly long finish with a moderate burn; dry wood increases towards the end and lingers But Buffalo Trace, not being content until they’re the best at everything, decided that they needed to corner the bottom shelf market even more by introducing new expressions of this lowly shelf turd by invigorating some age and proof into the mix.

Dark ‍Chocolate‌ and Red ⁣Wine: Indulge in the‌ divine ⁢union of ⁤velvety‌ smooth dark ⁢chocolate and⁣ a robust red wine. The deep, complex notes of the chocolate harmonize ‍flawlessly with the fruity undertones of the wine, creating ‌a decadent ⁣combination that ⁤will transport you to a ⁤world of ⁤pure gastronomic bliss. – Exceptional Value for Money: Benchmark⁣ Bourbon’s Affordable Elegance This would hopefully take some of the heat off of their more aged options like Buffalo Trace, Colonel E.H. Taylor, Eagle Rare, and Stagg Jr. Buffalo Trace Distillery Whiskeys Allocated means that stores can only buy a certain amount from their distributor. And once they’re gone, they’re gone.Even lowly Buffalo Trace Bourbon, their namesake, now has “Limit 1”signs on it whenever you can find it on a shelf. Benchmark Bourbon is made from 75% corn, 15% barley (for enzymes), and 10% rye. Like any other bourbon expression, Benchmark is bottled at 40% ABV. Ownership & DistilleryMy journey into the world of spirits began as a pub owner, where I cultivated memorable experiences for patrons and nurtured a deep appreciation for fine liquors. Here, I’ve immersed myself in the art of crafting Mezcal, gaining a newfound appreciation for the craftsmanship that goes into distilling this ancient spirit. Although it has the number 8 on the label, this is not an eight-year-old product. It’s aged for three years and is bottled at 40% with a plastic cap and bottle. Bob: The green apple candy is really prominent. I've had Crown Royal Apple and we've tried a really lovely one from Traverse City, their Michigan Apple. This doesn't have the candy flavor of that, but it's like the LaCroix of Jolly Ranchers and has really harsh ethanol to go with it. It mimics a spiciness, but it's not spicy at all. I don't get a lot of baking spice on this. Finish: Lingering oak spice couples with a bit of leather. There’s a bit of residual caramelized sugar for sweetness. The fruit notes kind of disappear on the finish, which is disappointing, but sometimes I feel like I can still taste a bit of the apples from the palate.

Every batch⁤ of Benchmark Bourbon starts with filtered water sourced ‍from natural limestone ⁣springs, providing the ideal ‌mineral content ‌necessary for‌ the desired taste profile. Expertly ‍crafted: Benchmark Bourbon is meticulously ⁤distilled and‌ aged to ‍perfection, ⁣ensuring a ‌consistent ⁤and high-quality⁤ flavor profile. Candy corn, caramel corn, vanilla, nuts, grain and a touch of oak and spice. The palate is more muted than the aroma, but there’s nothing offensive going on so there’s nothing to get too worked up about.

Nose:Sweet and fruity notes like cherries, raspberries and grenadine syrup. The fruits are given extra depth with stronger vanilla and caramelscents. It should be inviting to both inexperienced and experienced drinkers alike. I even smell some of the oakthat surely come from the older bourbon barrels in every batch. Bob: All right. So we are just at a 49.5/100, so we actually are under that 50 mark or, on average, a 24.75/50. I am not going to recommend buying, I am not going to recommend trying, with the small caveat that this is a single barrel, so I have no idea what the variation between barrels looks like for a product like Benchmark, where they're going for value above all else.
