Formed in 2005, eleven musicians of international standing came together to take up residency in South Yorkshire with Music in the Round, establishing a versatile group comprising five string players, five wind players and a pianist. Known only to himself as the 'World's Greatest Portrait Artist', Korky regularly visits schools promoting his passion for drawing. With its irreverent sense of humour and recurrent references to underpants, this story of a brave young knight taking on a bully is sure to entertain. I think this is a fantastic book, perfect for bedtime and one that will have everyone laughing aloud. I am not sure whether I would particularly choose to read this story to my class as there are some questionable descriptions used within the book. The concert featured storytelling and projected illustrations from the best-selling children’s book by Giles Andreae and Korky Paul, with musician Polly Ives doing a tremendous job of leading audience participation in singing and dancing over the course of the witty and inventive hour-long show.

Proof of their success came at the end of the show from both the queues at the book-selling stall, as well as the lines of excited children coming up to meet the musicians who had gathered in the foyer with their instruments. Step inside a world of food and poo in this fascinating new exhibition at the Science and Industry Museum.Since being formed in 2005 to take up residency at Sheffield’s Crucible Studio Theatre, Ensemble 360 (who take their name from the Crucible’s wonderful in-the-round space) have endeavoured to take classical music to new audiences. Brave and bold, courageous and true, he's the perfect knight for the job… even if he is only six years old! I still haven't gotten tired of reading aloud "They're my underpants of glory, my underpants of power, my breakfast will be ruined if they're not back within the hour" - and that's saying something, because I seem to have read it a thousand times.
