Description

As ever the RS 2 offers a Bluetooth connection between the gimbal and the Ronin App available for both iOS and Android devices. This Bluetooth connection utilises the latest Bluetooth 5.0 technology.

New* RavenEye Transmission System– gives operators a simplified way to get remote camera viewing and parameter control. This system transmits 1080p video from up to 200 m away with a latency of just 60 ms, letting users focus on getting the perfect shot without worrying about equipment. If you are working on a professional project with a big camera crew, this new DJI RS 2 feature conveniently provides everyone with a clear view of the action.

At the front of the RS 2, above the trigger, there is a dial. It can be set to many different controls and adjust the dial speed. Options include camera settings like aperture and ISO as well as gimbal settings like roll axis. New* Time Tunnel: The system performs a 360-degree roll while capturing a hyper-lapse, adding a level of creativity to footage. Tested in a closed environment in favorable conditions and an unobstructed wireless signal using the FCC and SRRC standard (max 100 m using the CE standard). Actual results may vary. After 1 phantom, 1 Inspire Pro and 2 Mavics, my opinion is made: DJI is no more a professional company, I give up.

There is a ton of good information here. One extra note is to disable selfie mode to prevent accidentally activating it if you accidentally tap the trigger one too many times. You’ll also want to enable silent mode to prevent any notification noises from being played—always a good call. To be honest, it’s probably best to just shut off all the modes you aren’t planning on using. Like the DJI OM 4 (or Osmo Mobile 4), the new DJI Ronins have adopted slightly confusing RS 2 and RSC 2 monikers. But fortunately, they've also brought plenty of new features and more portable designs. Unlike the smartphone-friendly DJI OM 4, they're also both strong enough to support full-size DSLRs and mirrorless cameras. A 1kg (2.3lbs) gimbal with 4.5kg (10lbs) tested payload offers the highest weight-to-payload ratio in the industry. [1] In use, the power of the small motor is incredible and enables you to easily capture that professional, smooth fluid motion that these devices have been designed to enable. DJI has officially authorized Tilta with the development protocols for all the peripheral interfaces. All products have been carefully tested by the DJI engineering team as well as a series of test/development shoots to improve its design, operation, and durability.Tap the "Gimbal Calibration" icon on the touchscreen of the gimbal and enable the SuperSmooth mode on the menu. After enabling SuperSmooth, tap to perform gimbal calibration for better stabilization.

The limit comes with larger cameras such as the Canon C100 MKII which is just too large, as it was with the Ronin-S. However, while the design looks great, the friction caused by the carbon fibre when trying to adjust the balance just annoyed me, more so than just a niggle.MORE MORE MORE on the cable cam system!!! I already have a Wiral and enjoy it, this would really fill in the gap between the toy I have now, with something more akin to film and broadcast level gear that I would have no fear using for live broadcasts.
