Tommy, Connor and Alf had all caught the school bus but Brookie was struggling behind with all his stuff in a flimsy carrier bag - and missed the bus. When you make a claim you will be told which changes must be reported and how long you have to report the change. Susan Hill's writing is superb, her plotting excellent and she creates characters who stay in your mind long after you've finished the book. Cat was still a doctor but the reader could have removed all reference to her from the book and it wouldn’t have changed anything. You must contact us at once if your circumstances change, or you could have to repay an overpayment, a fine or face prosecution.Small-time dealers are picked up outside the local secondary school, they're given a fine or suspended and away they go. Consequently, the interest comes from his personal life and his family relations as much as – more than – it does from the detection. In this latest of Hill’s series, the Simon Serailler story continues with his position at Lafferton Police keeping him more at his desk than in the past as he manages his team. I enjoyed the storyline as it felt like a bit of a different plot, though there were some parts of the book which felt like they went off on a bit of a tangent and were harder to feel absorbed in. The drug dealing story line is vivid and scary; grief in the wake of divorce and suicide is sensitively and powerfully portrayed; parental concerns and struggles feel genuine (as far as I know - this deliberately child-free reader remains grateful for her wise decision decades ago.Series fans will enjoy catching up with Serrailler and company, but this isn’t the place to start for newcomers.
