I was particularly surprised to see a bit of fading in some of the nighttime exteriors later in the movie -- for a film that's only about seven years old, this is highly unusual. And now there's a 2018 4k Ultra HD disc and blu-ray combo-pack that just about renders them all obsolete. Bret Easton Ellis' novel "American Psycho" rocked the literary world in 1991 with all the subtlety of a tidal wave. All in all, a surprising film which shows social irregularities and problems that afflicted a generation and how one man chooses to deal them.When I first made this post, I was suggesting Lions Gate give this film a new scan and update a very creaky old blu-ray. But much more excitingly, they found some deleted scenes, including a noteworthy scene from the book I'm surprised they cut out. I dutifully stood in line opening night, plunked down my hard-earned cash from my part-time job, and sat in a darkened theater expecting to be amazed. Depending upon who you believe the history of American Psycho was a rough one with many director names attached and the role of Patrick Bateman originally belonging to Leonardo DiCaprio.

Use the thumbs up and thumbs down icons to agree or disagree that the title is similar to American Psycho. transfer with Dolby Vision and HDR10, as the results are a spectacular improvement over the previous Blu-ray. Mary Harron managed to craft a solid and entertaining film from the particularly difficult Bret Easton Ellis source novel while Christian Bale goes full out in a terrific performance that should have gotten him a lot more attention in its day.

I kept flipping back and forth between them and she was saying the exact same anecdotes and observations all the way through. Switching between the old Blu-ray and this new 4K Ultra HD disc, it's easy to see and appreciate how far home video technology has come. a clearer understanding of how to attain an "accurate" accounting of the original theatrical experience.
