What I appreciated the most was being able to use the wax without worrying about getting any toxic chemicals onto my skin and therefore absorbing them into my body. Bee Naturals leather polish and conditioner when applied to leather, will penetrate deep into the leathers surface. A safe mixture ratio would be 2-1/2-1/2 liquid to solid and semi-solid respectively, however you can change it up depending on your application. Usually, these proofers consist of a mixture of beeswax and paraffin, so they’re not at all harmful to your health.

Because beeswax does not dissolve in water, working it into leather blocks moisture from being able to get through. Our Beeswax enriched leather protector maintains the suppleness of the main body of the leather and adds a layer of weather protection to the outer surface. I used some on my settee, but it didn’t seem to make any of the marks any less prominent unfortunately. Treating the leather with such products on a regular basis will increase the lifespan of your – often very expensive – outdoor shoes. This ensures a high gloss shine for your leather furniture, protecting and sealing it for the future.Plus, these products alleviate the effect of sunburns and accelerate the healing process of chapped lips as well as minor skin lesions. Bee Naturals Handmade Traditional Leather Dubbin will meet your requirements whatever your protection and waterproofing needs. Evidence of its use is traced back as far as ancient Egypt, where beeswax figurines have been found in tombs. Leather products look and feel nice and have the potential to last a long time, but they certainly aren’t cheap! Check out the bracelets in colourful cowhide, aromatic keyrings and keychains, leather wallets and coasters.

The layer of wax prevents water from penetrating into the interior, forcing rain to simply bead up and roll off the outside. I bought it as a present for my son to care for his leather sofas and he is extremely happy with the results .It had to Condition; Leather should have a supple feel when you handle it and though it may not be stiff, it shouldn't end up feeling course either. How to use: Treat a small test area first to check finish and compatibility, especially on pale items. If you wanted a softer polish, you can increase 3-1/2-1/2 or even as much as 4-1/2-1/2, however I wouldn't go much softer than that.

Please note: the product has retained its recipe but is now branded as Leather Balm rather than boot polish. It will work on a lot of different materials, and not just leather, but always try it on a tiny bit of hidden area before using it on the whole item. I’m really no good at sizes and thought this must be about a shoe polish size but actually it’s a Vaseline mini tin size but that’s my fault and what you get it rich, nutritious feeling and smells nice. They'll stay suspended inside as sort of, 'micro beads' that will degrease your items as it conditions and protects. Before applying our Leather Polish, we suggest adding a thin layer of our Leather Cream Conditioner as a gentle cleaner and softener .Whether you are an expert at DIY products or new to the idea, leather care is just one of a multitude of popular uses for beeswax. The unique properties of the wax not only lubricate the leather but also feed it with essential nutrients.

It replicates the natural lubrication of animal skin, softening leather, preventing it from drying and allowing the fibres to move smoothly across each other and so reduces abrasive wear. Our 60ml leather balm is handmade here in Hampshire by the Becky's Beezzzs Team using beeswax from our very own honeybee colonies. It's a very important step because allowing the pyrex cup to sit on the bottom of the pot could cause the preparation to burn. As you can see, beeswax is much more than the stuff swimming around in your honey or what people use for candles. This beeswax balsam is an excellent and versatile product which goes a long way in nourishing and prolonging the lifespan of any variety of genuine leather goods.Use a small soft piece of towel or cleaning rags and apply a small amount of beeswax leather conditioner to the surface.
