Edit almost one year later- I had already dropped by rating from 2 stars to 1 star (and I NEVER rate anything 1 star). Adeline certainly feels obligated to respond the way she SHOULD, but it's important to note that she WANTS to respond to him positively rather than negatively, regardless of what society expects her to feel in such a situation. You are forewarned that there is plenty of strong language, graphic sex scenes and some dub/con moments too. Some of the sexual content in this book was tough for me to read, I just don't think stalkers are sexy but Zade did grow on me as the book progressed but I still found the romance tough to swallow.

I don’t want to talk to much about it, because I’m incapable of telling stories without spoiling things, but I can tell you it was interesting and I was invested! We all deserve a Zade the kind of man who can walk into a strip club on a mission and have no interest in or notices a beautiful woman dancing because he already has his own and that’s enough for him.Every time I see Zade the r4pist getting praised on socials it feels like an actual violation and I get more and more angry. I don’t think I’ll be able to talk about this anymore without spoilers, so this review is literally all spoilers. HD’s writing will easily whisk you off to dark storms, haunted mansions, scary woods and places where shadows linger for a little too long. The main reason i am reducing one star is because the first two times they had sex, he forced himself on her.

He’s this dub-con, psycho (he literally sends her a pair of cut off hands when she lets some creep finger bang her) stalker who is actually a self taught mastermind hacker who saves kids and women from sex trafficking.

For readers who love stories that stretch the bounds of traditional romance, this is a gripping read due to the characters' complex web of fear and desire that keeps them on edge.
