I would say there most be other woods beside the sandalwood because no sandalwood I ever smelled was this assertive. Tantalizing red pepper and mandarin with sensual jasmine, orange blossom absolute and a mysterious blend of papyrus, precious woods, and vanilla. the Buble smell could most prob hang out a bit of the summer time and it came out in Australia during the spring so work that one out. I just love how this develops, and it's sweet without being too sweet, and it's slightly woody without being too woody(I have trouble with some woody perfumes).

If you’re out of luck getting a bottle of decadence because it’s been discontinued this is a great dupe! I do wish it was a bit stronger and maybe a little heavier on the praline, but it's still a lovely perfume. It have nice packaging, impressive bottle, nice longevity but I'm so sorry I pay more attention for the scent. This fragrance could be pulled of by anyone, but i picture a 37-40 year old woman, who is single, runs her own business,no husband, no kids and travels around the world every 3 months, when wearing this fragrance. Dont normally go for the perfumes that have been released by the likes of Hilton, perry, Jlo etc etc but quite like By Invitation.

It does not actually smell like a dupe or anything, but throughout the drydown, I get an aroma that is similar to the drydown of my precious Stella.Beautiful bottle though the bracelet is quite narrow so the whole thing is prone to tip over easily as it did on the display. Top notes are Bergamot and Red Fruits; middle notes are Rose, Jasmine, Peony and Lily-of-the-Valley; base notes are Praline, Sandalwood and Musk. I don't find this to be a lot like La Vie est Belle, and I like this a lot better than LVEB, and I think it wears better than LVEB. On my skin in particular it opens sweet then goes immediately spicy--it's all sandalwood and herbs on me, like I broke into my husband's cologne. The drying of this is very citrusy, slightly woody, not green at all, yet sweet and very intense too. There's something about it that reminds me of something I don't like - another fragrance I think I have and don't use - so until I figure that out I'm fence sitting.it reminds me of angel a bit but with less chocolate i think, though it's been awhile since i wore angel. Hmm strange, I really tried to remove it but the scent is very strong, in the end I also tried to cover it with another perfume as I just couldn’t stand the scent on me. It's just here is the fragrance from morning to evening with every breath you take its the same notes and same intensity. I'm going to say that By Invitation smells similar to Decadence by Marc Jacobs, the difference is the way the patchouli and praline mix together.
