About this deal

This is one of those recipes you can put together in a few minutes when you couldn’t be bothered to bake something and/or it’s too hot to turn on the oven. Nut/seed butter: This is the binding ingredient for the DIY chocolate ball cereal. You can use any seed or nut butter, like peanut butter, almond butter, sunflower seed butter, etc. I think there are just too few ingredients to make this recipe palatable for me with keto sweetener. And perhaps that it’s not baked plays a role. I’ve had this same issue with all the other no-bake keto treats I’ve tried. Does not replace the good old fashioned Rice Krispie treat! I might make it again. not a big winner at my house

Walnut Butter – I actually haven’t tried this option but am pretty sure it’d work. You might need a little extra coconut flour. Also note that the walnut taste will be quite strong! Next, preheat the oven to 320 °F/160 °C, and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat. I prefer the smooth texture without the chips, and you can’t even taste the chocolate chips because they blend totally in with the chocolate flavor of the balls. I always add chocolate chips to my brownies and thought it made sense here but… nah. Just save the calories for something else!Make smaller or larger balls if you prefer. Each of these balls is made with around 4 tablespoons of the mixture. Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Balls – here’s one with almond flour! But I have to say that I prefer the texture of today’s recipe with coconut flour.

Cornflake nests: For a fun springtime dessert, place the cornflake mixture into muffin liners, and top with mini sugar coated chocolate candy eggs. Storing leftover chocolate cornflake cakes:Drizzle each coated peanut butter ball with some of the remaining melted chocolate for a decorative touch. When they first come out of the oven, they’re fairly soft and chewy, but as they cool, they become firmer and crunchier. While they are firmer than regular store-bought cereal, once you add the milk, they will still soften slightly. Use warm milk to soften the chocolate ball cereal more. Can you substitute the oat flour? Any tips for me? I know some of you have been using keto sweeteners in my recipes for years and know a lot more about this than I do! Adjust the texture: For example, if you bake them for slightly less, the homemade cereal balls will be softer. Crunchy peanut butter and crispy cereal inside a chocolate shell make these Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls one scrumptious holiday favorite we crave year ’round!

Take care when melting the chocolate and marshmallows. Do it on a low heat stirring regularly so that the chocolate doesn't burn. From healthy energy bites and hearty granola to dreamy and decadent icebox pies, my Favorite No-Bake Recipes leave nothing out but the oven. Skip the heat and enjoy these delicious no-bake eats! I’ve been making these lately without chocolate chips out of laziness, and I realized that they’re actually better without them.

Coconut flour sub?

The homemade cocoa puffs cereal will still be soft immediately out of the oven but firm up as they cool. Be careful not to overbake them, as they can and will burn. If it’s too dry, add more maple syrup or nut/seed butter. If it’s too wet, add more oat flour, one teaspoon at a time. A Cook, there is another version of this made with Copha (you guys may know it as shorting see wiki - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copha ) instead of butter and gelatine. Transfer the prepared cereal balls to the baking sheet, with space in between, and bake them for 10 minutes. Then leave them to cool completely.
