This is absolutely the nature of radiant heaters, though, even the best full-room heaters like this one, and if you can be patient and allow them a few hours to fully radiate heat into the room, you will see what wonders they are actually capable of. This system holds heat so well that an oil-filled radiator heater can save lots of money on utility bills compared to even other radiant heaters – which are already known to be very, very energy efficient and real money-savers. Sometimes we find that more advanced electronic controls can be more difficult to use, or at least to get used to, but the clearly marked buttons and easy-to-read display of the Dragon were so obvious and intuitive that we didn’t even have to consult with the user’s manual to know what we were doing.
Since we’ve had experience with lots of oil-filled radiator heaters in the past, the first thing we did with the DeLonghi TRD40615E Dragon is to set it in our garage and run it for a full day out there, allowing the initial smell to burn off completely before using the heater in our house.
