The SAC vowed to ‘annihilate’ PDFs and their supporters ‘to the end’, according to the official translation of one of Min Aung Hlaing’s speeches. The Crisis Group also reports that morale is low among foot soldiers in the Dry Zone, who are fighting in their native regions for the first time.
