Description

Of course we do. But sometimes it’s hard. And scary. Sometimes we don’t have the knowledge, skills or willpower to overcome our problematic, disempowering and inhibiting behaviors. That’s where we should consult a professional to guide us.

The simple philosophy of “giving is receiving” rings true on our death bed. If we spent our lives only taking from others—that is, prioritizing our own selfish desires—then all of the positive thoughts and feelings that we could be having would be replaced with regret, guilt and shame. Yet if we’re not balancing our external forms of success with the kind that ensures genuine and truly beautiful human relationships, then what worth do our achievements truly have? The series was first announced along with four others in November 2021 as part of the aforementioned UK content boost.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Everything Now is a limited series that will feature eight episodes at around 45 minutes in length. Forget about taking candy out. Put bullshit in. Figuratively, yes, but also literally, if you need to. Take a chance. Be Bold. Imagine a life where you can’t wait to get out of bed every morning. And remember, if you fail, you’ll be no worse off. In fact, quite the contrary, you will have learned an important lesson that will set you up for success in the future.

This is why we’ve all heard about the friend of a friend who was murdered, the car accident that killed more than one member of a family or the fire which ended the lives of several we knew in our community. In August 2022, Deadline revealed they had cast Stephen Fry in the series. He’ll be playing the role of Mia Polanco’s doctor, Dr. Nell. The reality is if we continue to rely on what’s happening in our life to make us feel good, then we’re destined to live a life of suffering, because we all know that as soon as one issue is resolved, another one arises.

A New Philosophy on Life

Surely we know what our current status is, right? We know what we should face-off? What are our strengths and weaknesses? What are we striving for? What is our next stage of growth? Are we actually content? Invest in yourself. I learned new skills (hello, marketing), re-evaluated my goals and values, and made a plan for what I want my post-pandemic life to look like. They remind us of how precious life is as well as the innate nobility of humanity which manifests during such emergencies. New research has shown that the act of laughter is a form of meditation. In the past, scientists have measured the brain wave frequencies of people who meditate, and now they have done the same with those experiencing humor. They’ve found that the two acts resemble each other in frequency. The haters, the naysayers and the non-believers will never go away, and they will always have their opinions. Don’t listen to them. Don’t let their fears stand in the way of your dreams. The anteater doesn’t give a shit about what the ants think, and neither should you.

The key is to judge in a healthy way, such as incorporating compassion and empathy. We should see the positive in others, even when they’re behaving negatively. For example: yes, that person is being abusive but for all we know they may have had something tragic happen to them today, or maybe they’re just at an underdeveloped stage of their growth, but one day hopefully they will have learned to overcome this behavior which not only makes others suffer, but also themselves. That’s a tremendously admirable idea, but it’s also a narrow solution to a general problem. Consequently, improvements are possible. As someone who graduated into the teeth of the Great Recession, I had struggled for years to find full-time employment. It ultimately led me into the world of independent contracting in 2013, and then to formally starting my own business in 2016. In 2017, I finally got my big break when I signed on to work basically full-time hours doing web development and GIS work. Or so I thought. Some would call this an irresponsible approach to life, and that’s fine. I’m okay with that. Why? Because sometimes being irresponsible is the most responsible thing you can do. Everything in moderation, including moderation. Go big or go home. Announced Wednesday by Anne Mensah, Netflix’s vice president of U.K. series, the shows will all start shooting across Britain in 2022. Everything Now is well made and well acted, but will feel wholly unoriginal if you've seen other, stronger teen dramas. The premise of ED, getting out of a mental institution and making up for lost time, the plot and style are ripped straight from a show called My Mad Fat Diary. The visuals are ripped from Euphoria. The family story is ripped from My So-Called Life. The sexual dynamic is ripped from Skins.
