About this deal

I think because of it’s slightly lower length of durability and castability than some of the other Seaguar fluorocarbons, I like it for a few specific techniques. I really have liked it for a spinnerbait line. Typically I’m fishing spinnerbaits around grass and wood and not to rough conditions. I like it for some small swimbait stuff too. I’ve been doing really well with the 10 and 12 pound Basix fluorocarbon on small swimbaits and the 15-pound Basix on my spinnerbait rod. It has a softer feel than Invizx, making it more likely to avoid detection by fish. Additionally, its smaller diameter makes it perfect for navigating tight spaces. Comments:This has been my favorite fluro yet. Never had a break off and its very manageable for a Fluorocarbon line. The only negative thing i could say is i think it has just as much stretch as mono. Comments:I just landed the biggest bass of my life, 11lbs. This line handled it great. Good sensitivity, strength, both as a main and leader line at an affordable price IMO.

Comments:Without question this is the best low dollar flourocarbon on the market. Seaguar is the only company in the world that manufacturers their own resin for their lines so they are able to make a better quality line at a lower price than any of their competitors.Comments: Great line I have 15 pound Red Label on my spinnerbait setup and 20 pound on my jig setup. Line has held up great low stretch, high sensitivity, virtually invisible, and abrasion resistance. Line also is very managable on the spool of a baitcaster and has very low memory. This line also has great knot strength (improved clinch) (palomar). I have landed many big fish with this line the latest being a 4 pound bass on my jig rod the line held up great and allowed me to get the bass out of the brush. As a Leader Line– Fluorocarbon excels at being used as a leader line for both spinning and casting applications. Many pros and weekend anglers alike have adopter the practice of spooling their reels with braid and attaching a 3-10ft leader. You gain the strength, durability, and castability of braid, with the invisibility of a fluorocarbon leader. Learn to tie good connection knots and go fish. This is a real game changer once you have confidence in it. Invizx is more visible in water than Seaguar Red Label, which means that it may not be the best choice for anglers who are fishing in clear water conditions. High Knot Strength– Given the high density, abrasion resistance , and tensile strength of this type of line , it makes perfect sense that fluorocarbon would have excellent knot strength . The key is to avoid weakening the line with heat from the friction of forming the knot. Good technique and lubrication minimize any degradation of the line . Seaguar also boasts that Blue Label has such an efficient strength to diameter ratio that it allows anglers to use a lower pound test than they would have to with a nylon and co-polymer monofilament leader. Being able to use a thinner line with the same strength capabilities also contributes to a stealthier presentations and improved action of your bait or lure. All told, Blue Label is an excellent all around choice for saltwater fishing fluorocarbon leader material.

I’ve found the biggest problem in casting with fluorocarbon is having mismatched line size with the rod and lure weight. 15lb fluoro line on a MH casting rod is going to have some trouble with a 1/4oz jig. Likewise, an 1/8oz shaky head isn’t going to cast optimally with 12lb line on a MH rod. Here are some general guidelines for which size line to use for different techniques. Your personal preference may vary from mine. Comments: Just like me, you are someone looking to get the most out of a FC line but without a hefty price tag. Well I'll just say this. When I first got into casting reels, I was looking for a strong but buyer friendly FC line and I started out with Trilen and it became to crazy with the memory. So I stumbled upon this red label at my local retailer years ago and I can confidently say this is by far my favorite budget friendly FC line to date. And honestly haven't used any other FC line on the market because of this red label. I use anywhere from 12, 15, and 20# for all my needs. I have yet to break off once, we'll only if I get snagged up and have to hulk strength the line out and even then sometimes I have to cut the line because it just won't break. The line is actually not as thin as other leader lines but is flexible and abrasion-resistant. The line is also dense which means that it will sink faster in water. This is nice when fishing with soft plastics for bass as the lure will sink faster without adding weight. The line is made in the USA and will work on baitcasting and spinning reels. It’s not perfect by any means but it’s inexpensive and has always done the job for me. If you’re doing any sort of casting then I’d recommend you use Sufix 832 as your main line with a Red Label leader. Blue Label is Seaguar's most popular leader material. It was designed with saltwater fishing in mind, but is used by some freshwater anglers who desire an especially tough yet supple fluorocarbon leader as well. It sinks fast and has incredible tensile and knot strength (34 percent better than leading competitors), so you never have to worry about your leader to mainline connection failing. Comments:I've literally fished them all. Literally. Pound for pound this is the best. It's worth double the price. The 4lb is maybe the best finesse line ever made. For the money it's not even close there's monos that are more expensive.
