Merit retreats deeper into herself, watching her family from the sidelines, when she learns a secret that no trophy in the world can fix. My 2nd admission is that I skipped through 3 stories, maybe 4? because out of 30 at least 75% of them were about the same exact thing... "I love my best friend but I'm afraid to tell them or they're about to get married" blah blah blah. There was a point I almost DNF the entire thing. Only by courageously facing the stark revelations can Sky and Holder hope to heal their emotional scars and find a way to live and love without boundaries. Losing Hope (2013) The only person who hasn’t closed the door on her completely is Ledger Ward, a local bar owner and one of the few remaining links to Kenna’s daughter. what if: h was ab to get married but 2 days before the wedding her first love came to her claiming he loves her, so she chose him. (to be fair a fortune teller basically told her to, 2 days before. good thing the girl was superstitious)

I liked the love story but hated the rest of it. Vaughn didn't deserve Vilma and to treat their children this way because he was grieving is terrible. I don't want to read more about how he moves on with his life without the person who deserved to live much more than he did. Two More Days is an anthology written by Colleen Hoover. [1] It's part of a yearly anthology series done via her company The Bookworm Box, with all profit going to charity. Wow. I had no idea what I was getting into when I started this novella. It is different from what I usually read but I loved it nonetheless.SOMETHING WONDERFUL BY L.K. FARLOW➯ 3 Stars. A little juvenile...surfer boy and his long lost best friend who has been pining for him...friends to lovers trope. Well written with a smexy sex scene. Strike One | Meagan Brandy (sports romance) - steamy one night stand with best friend's little sister on her 18th birthday; very average Dark Eyes by Karina Halle (contemporary paranormal) - intro to Nightwolf, dark suspenseful and atmospheric; will read Nightwolf Did anyone edit this book? There are a lot of spelling and grammatical errors. I did a lot of rereading sentences to figure out what they were supposed to say. Many of these short stories feel like rough first drafts, and most of the others are excerpts from existing stories that either make you want to read those books (rare) or make you glad you don't have to read more. There are a few standouts, but overall I wasn't impressed with this anthology. I read One More Step as part of my CoHo readathon, but all it's convinced me to do is to skip Two More Days. The Kiss | M. Robinson (rom-com) - pregnant couple going to birthing class; very funny with a lot of laugh out loud moments

Forced to reach out to her last resort, Beyah has to spend the remainder of her summer on a peninsula in Texas with a father she barely knows. Beyah’s plan is to keep her head down and let the summer slip by seamlessly, but her new neighbor Samson throws a wrench in that plan. This series explores themes of love, loyalty, and the power of human connection. Maybe Someday (2014) Breaking The Rules by Charleigh Rose was super sh cute. Sort of texting pals who have never seen each other. Clearly that leads to some fun and hot text sessions and then maybe an interesting meet up or not, you’ll have to read and see! Sunshine Rae | Kandi Steiner (contemporary romance) - very angsty best friends to lovers that never got together due to wrong timing; now he's supposed to get married but they share a kiss and he leaves his fiancée for her

I sometimes get so immersed in my writing, I become the character I’m creating. Some call it method writing, and I suppose I can blame my actions on that, but it doesn’t excuse them.” I didn’t quite know what to think of this one at first, but I ended up loving it. The story of Shelby was unique, interesting, and entertaining.

Office hours by Alessandra Torre was hot as all get out, professor and student, and it’s essentially just steam but great steam lolThis one was over before I was ready for it to be. This novella is sort of a spin-off of Willow Aster and Laura Pavlov’s G.D. Taylors series. I ADORED that series, so this was fun. There were some good cameos. I also loved how accident prone Hazel was. I really want this to turn into a full length romance in the future for Hazel Taylor and Brady Barnes! Life and a dismal last name are the only two things Beyah’s parents ever gave her. After carving her path all on her own, Beyah is well on her way to bigger and better things, thanks to no one but herself. With only two short months separating her from the future she’s built and the past she desperately wants to leave behind, an unexpected death leaves Beyah with no place to go during the interim. There are multiple genres: YA contemporary, YA fantasy, rom-com, women's fiction, paranormal, contemporary romance, romantic suspense. Ilsa Madden-Mills made this novella so much fun! I loved the Halloween costumes and the mission the characters were on. The romance was super cute, too. I would read a whole book. It also combines two of her book worlds, so fans will like that.
