Buy an item of clothing from a charity shop that you really like, but isn’t the sort of thing you normally wear. Wear it. If you are team no enhancements, good for you. But if you want to indulge in a little something to help you look refreshed, then consider a cryo toning facial (non-invasive) or perhaps an injectable that could improve the texture of your skin. Many aesthetitians and skin doctors offer birthday discounts. Stay whole and centered on this journey. I’ve got this long list, and a new business I’m growing, friendships, family and a partner to stay connected to, and lots of ways I want to explore the world in 2018. Being thoughtful about my choices and remembering the things I need in my life to stay whole and in balance will help. Run another City Chase race with family and friends for the fun of it. Its as close to Amazing Race as you can get without being on the show. This crazy idea started out on my 49th birthday…we were on our self-created pub tour in London, the last night of what had been an incredible family trip across the pond to see our beloved Seahawks play the Raiders in the NFL UK series. If this is how I celebrated 49, how would I improve on it for my 50th birthday??

Vow renewals are a touching way to commemorate your love and reaffirm the vows you made on your wedding day. Though there are no rules as to when to renew your vows, most couples do it on a milestone anniversary like the 5th, 10th, or 25th year, and so on. On a sunny day: make your own ginger beer, make a salmon & cream cheese bagel, make banana muffins…..and sit outside and enjoyContinue my annual tradition of attending Nashville’s CMA Music Fest with my daughters, our girls outing for the year. This June year will make our 6th year, so we are off to a good start. (COMPLETED A FEW MORE YEARS, BUT QUIT GOING FOR DANGEROUS REASONS) Or disappear INSIDE a cave that is strung with zip wires and trampolines and bounce your heart out. Whether your previous pup crossed the rainbow, or you are a recent empty-nester, both are good reasons to rescue a new pet. It has been proven that pets are beneficial for mental health, especially as we get older. 10.- Book a long and luscious massage

Yup, you’ve read that right. Every once in a while, it’s good to take a break from all the tech stuff, especially if it means you get to spend more time with your loved one. An anniversary party is a perfect way to celebrate a couple’s time spent together, especially your own. Though hosting your own anniversary party might seem like a weird idea, it is a great reason to bring people together, especially family and friends. It doesn’t have to be fifty things if you don’t want it to be, but it’s a good benchmark for deciding what you want to accomplish in your life before crossing the 50 year old threshold. It is so much better to accomplish big goals with a partner in crime compared to doing it all by myself. Spiritual Or learn how to cook something you've always loved. Whether is a masterclass in bread baking, cake decorating, or biscuit icing. You might even master the epic birthday cake that you've always wanted!Bring some more live music into my life: going to see Santana, Ed Sheeran and a Hawaiin cowboy band this year. As all planners know, you have to start with the end in mind. That end was a sister trip to Key West. When Patti asked where I wanted to go, this was my choice. We had been trying to get there for YEARS! But something always came up. So I simply had to fill in 49 other things…easy, right? A little bit retro, a lot delicious. Here are five cheesy ways to get started. (And don’t worry— your vegan friends can join in on the fun too.) 18. Have an Online Trivia Night

Do 1 thing every week that makes me a little uncomfortable or scares me. Putting this list of 50 things out there is that thing this week. Today’s the youngest you are ever going to be. You’ve got to live like it. You’ve got to live young every day.” Mark Cuban

35. Go Glamping

Turning 50 doesn’t mean you have to quit doing silly things that bring you joy. If your time and budget don’t allow for lavish celebrations then make sure it’s a fun one. Even if you can’t sing, trying and making light of yourself is wonderful to keep your spirits up! 22.- Go skydiving Cruise with cruise lines I have not yet cruised with, such as MSC, Disney, and Holland America. (COMPLETED A FEW TIMES NOW) For a really fun night out on the town, rent a party bus and invite all your friends to come along for the ride. You can drink, dance, and listen to great music all night long as you cruise around town. 28. Do Something Adventurous Some people may think board games are boring (I’m not one of them!) , but they can actually be a lot of fun especially if you have the perfect game and partner to play with.

It’s your party and you’ll eat cacio e pepe and watch Golden Girls if you want to. Make a list of your favorite things to eat, see, play or do and put them all together in a fabulous event. 35. Go Glamping Go for gold. Traditional gifting would suggest gold as a theme for your fifty years. A trip to the Gold Coast might be an option, or the Golden Mile if that's a bit closer! Or host a golden jubilee celebration of your own and see how best everyone can embrace the theme. Champagne is gold, right? Take another Viking River Cruise. I cruised the Rhine with Viking Cruises and some friends and had a fantastic time. I hope to sail with them again on the longships. Destination anywhere! (COMPLETED SPRING 2019)This time last year I was busy planning how to celebrate the big 5-0. I am not a party person but had planned to do 50 things in 2020 split across several different categories. Of course things didn’t work out as expected. I also walked Up at the O2 and slid down the slide at the Orb it. Whilst this day out was enjoyable it wasn’t as adrenaline inducing as stepping off the edge of a platform 100m off the ground! O2 walkway I read and enjoyed three books that were recommended to me. These were The Color of Bee Larkham’s Murder (Sarah Harris); Welcome to Higby (Mark Dunn) and A Gentleman in Moscow (Amor Towles). The truth is I never saw life like that before. I postponed so many things and say that I will do it when I have more time, more money, have a life companion, etc.
