Here’s the Aveeno Fresh Greens Blend Shampoo and Conditioner Review. Read to find out what I thought of this shampoo and conditioner!

Aveeno has another shampoo in this line made from Apple Cider Vinegar. As one of those people who can instantly reel off dozens of uses for ACV because I love it so much, I'm intrigued by the idea of having a premade shampoo with it in it but I'm hesitant because of the perfume issue. Because I like DreamCoat so much, I decided to try some other products and while the hard water filter didn't seem to make much of a difference, I am absolutely, positively, totally in love in love with their Color Safe shampoo. Like all their products, its focus is on keeping your dyed haircolor sharp, but this is just a great shampoo and I would recommend it to anyone, dyed hair or not. It's clean. No dyes, no perfumes, no sulfates, no silicones, no conditioning agents, no parabens, and it's even gluten-free. Up until now, most of the shampoos I used always faded my hair colour, some drastically and some a little. So when I came across this shampoo, I was very excited about trying it out. But nevertheless, I did a little bit of my own research and found out that glycerin fades colour only if the hair is recently dyed and waiting a couple of days before using a glycerin-infused shampoo wouldn’t do your hair colour any harm. The shampoo contains no harsh chemicals like parabens or sulfates, thus it felt super gentle on my sensitive scalp.Peppermint is known to have properties of vasodilatation, thus increasing blood circulation in the scalp. A little of this shampoo goes a long way into creating a gentle lather that cleans my hair thoroughly, leaving it soft and sleek and manageable. My scalp also feels fresh and clean afterwards and while I do still have to wash daily, using something this gentle means my shampoo always helps and never hurts. Aveeno is known for bringing the soothing and healing properties of nature to skin care and now offers nourishing care for your scalp and hair. We’re not only mindful of what goes into our formulations, but also of our impact on the world around us. It can help promote better hair strength, by nourishing the hair strands from within and can thereby reduce hair fall.

The conditioner contains no silicones and this is one of the main reasons why it made my hair feel luscious and gave it volume, as the conditioner didn’t weigh down my locs. I truly detest strong smells! So as for me, if shampoo has a mild fragrance, it would suit me perfectly.

Good for

It can nourish and promote repair of the damaged hair follicles, with its antioxidant properties, in turn promoting hair growth with an increase in hair strength, contributing to reduced hair fall and breakage. I really like these, too! My favorite shampoos were Perfect Air Dry Shampoo and Touchably Soft, but I felt like they all did a good job of cleaning my hair and leaving my scalp neither too dry nor too oily. The conditioners were less exciting for me because I don't typically condition much, but they seemed to be pretty decent, too. Oats contain fiber and minerals like zinc and iron along with omega-6 fatty acids which, according to this research by the Linus Pauling Institute at Oregon State University are very beneficial for the hair and can stimulate hair growth. Even though the product description stated that this shampoo is made for colour-treated hair, I happened to see that this shampoo contained the ingredient “glycerin”, which made me a little apprehensive to try it out because glycerin is known to fade dye. This aspect will test how well the product worked on my hair in terms of making my hair feel soft, smooth, taming frizz, decreasing dryness, reducing hair loss etc.

I use hair care products like oils, serums, hair sprays and hair masks, which tend to leave buildup on my scalp and hair if it doesn’t get washed off properly. I tried the full set even though some of the shampoos and all of the conditioners were not really my type. Rosemary is known to help promote better blood circulation in the scalp, thus increasing hair growth. Also, the fact that this shampoo contained rosemary as one of its ingredients; it enticed me to buy it because of how effectively rosemary is known to work on the scalp and hair.I had to agree with the popular Youtuber UKBeautyroom who said that the conditioner is moisturizing but not particularly “slippery” and gives volume to hair after using and doesn’t weigh it down. It also has a “light peppermint scent but not as much as the shampoo”. It made my hair feel soft and smooth, which made it manageable to brush and tamed frizz to a great extent. My fine hair is colour-treated and is prone to getting greasy very easily. So no matter whichever shampoo I used in the past, my hair would stand flat and limp. When I came across this Aveeno Fresh Greens Blend Shampoo and Conditioner specifically formulated for use on colour-treated hair, I was more than happy!

Clarify and volumize your hair with Aveeno Fresh Green Blend Shampoo. This volumizing shampoo helps promote a healthy scalp while refreshing your strands and adding healthy body to thin hair. Great for fine to medium hair, the fresh greens formula adds body and leaves hair feeling refreshed and naturally nourished. Important note here: Because of said highly sensitive skin, my ideal product will always be dye and perfume free. Yay for Aveeno for making this dye-free. Boo for Aveeno for ADDING PERFUME TO A PRODUCT MADE WITH ROSEMARY, PEPPERMINT, AND CUCUMBER all of which have a pleasant natural scent. Maybe they just didn't blend together well with the other ingredients but I will never buy this shampoo again despite the fact that it did a pretty good job of cleaning my hair. The bit of moisture really is just a bit of moisture, I didn't get insta-oily right away, nor did I get that overdry scalp that tends to lead to extra oil production. But this shampoo smells so strongly that even hours after my hair had dried I could still smell the perfume. What's really weird is that the perfume is the least of the ingredients, so, yeah, it's just very strong. This was an impulse buy at the drug store. I'd recently cancelled my custom shampoo delivery because I liked it but for what I was paying I felt like I really should have LOVED it. I was drawn to this particular brand because as someone with very, very sensitive skin I am very, very familiar with Aveeno, although I'd never used any of their shampoos before. I really liked that the front label proclaimed no sulfates, no dyes, and no parabens. Here's Aveeno's description:So what I loved is that once I started using this shampoo, my hair began to feel more voluminous and looked luscious.
