Fearing that her actions might be viewed as a declaration of war, Aether volunteers to save Thoma instead, which Ayaka reluctantly accepts. Afterward, Ayaka would come to see that old lady again every few days, each time posing as a person living nearby, and each time bringing with her some daily necessities that were well-loved by the common folk.
