The Crystal King shines with his mask and helmet, which is a slightly modified Oni mask, but with its own unique shape AND printing across the mask as well. The honeycomb tile with two bees printed on it are sublime as well, and I can see this being a really useful tile. I can’t wait for someone to create a massive beehive out with dozens of these tiles.

Space Police Guy is clearly a love letter to Space Police 1 minifigures, from the visor, to the suit underneath, and colour scheme, but I have questions – what’s happened to the cheery Classic Space universe that requires such heavy-policing and riot shields? I really hope we get to the bottom of this, but in the meantime, the Classic Space geek in me is very happy that we have a refreshed Space Police 1 minifigure included in Series 21.The villains are always the highlight of any new Ninjago wave, and this set is crawling with baddies. You get a Vengestone Guard, the Crystal King himself, a Vengestone warrior, and the return of fan favourite – Harumi!

A distinctly recognizable and important occupation, I’m mostly surprised that it’s taken this long for a Beekeeper to make an appearance. Children can enjoy playing out riveting scenes from the NINJAGO: Crystallized TV series with The Crystal King (71772) playset. An awesome birthday gift idea for kids aged 9 and up. Both minifigures include the same mismatched legs, maintaining the appearance of shattered armour. However, I dislike the purple faulds around their waists, which appear notably vibrant beside the predominant pink. Harumi and the Crystal King share this colour, but in moderation with others. Nevertheless, these minifigures are superb and carry crystalline weapons, naturally.

I do think they feel a little “light” and there just isn’t enough of the large crystal blades to make it look imposing and cool. I feel like they should’ve added in at least one or two more sets, to make the wings look more dense. You can flip the mask up to reveal the Crystal King’s face, which is suitably frightening. And reminds me of a certain Overlord…

The playset comes with interactive digital building instructions to make the building experience even more fun. Available in the free LEGO Building Instructions app for use on smartphones and tablets, the zoom and rotate tools help kids visualise the model as they build. Builders can also save their progress at any point on the app. With LEGO NINJAGO toys kids can choose from a large selection of dragons, figures, temples, mechs and vehicles to enjoy the fun with their ninja heroes.Each finely crafted, highly detailed minifigure comes in a sealed ‘mystery’ bag with one or more accessory elements and a collector's leaflet, making a great little gift that will put a smile on anyone's face. For some reason, the illustration on the Paddle Surfer’s shirt, gives off heavy Paradisa vibes, and it feels like it’s an amalgamation of these two torso designs from Paradisa. Or is that just me? This is one of the best-designed minifigures ever included in a Collectible Minifigure Series, and I think will also be very, very popular with collectors looking to amass as many of them as possible. In this set, we get introduced to the Crystal King, the powerful leader of the Vengestone Army, and is capable of taking on the form of a terrifying centaur-like creature.

Here are some more poses. The huge range of articulation of the arms, allow you to strike up some very impressive poses, so whether you intend to just display the Crystal King, or play with it, you’re bound to have a lot of fun. Innovation [3]– We rarely get large centaurs, so this was novel. Also liked the posability and playability The size of The Crystal King is what impressed me the most, from its height, and windspan, to even its length which is accentuated by its tail, this is a model with a very large footprint, that makes the most out of its 772-piece count.Let me know what you think of this series in the comments section, and which characters are your favourites!
