Funshine Bear : the yellow smiling sun both gives this high-energy Care Bear the get-up-and-go for athletic skill and the ability to produce light! A very happy and perky bear who lives up to her name, Cheer Bear has made it her goal to help everyone to be joyous as she is (sometimes whether they like it or not). Known to break into cheers and chants at the drop of a hat, this exuberant, bouncy, and just plain happy ball of pink fluff is only sad when she can't lift someone's spirits, but that just means she has to try even harder. Her personality is fitting to her horoscope, which is Leo. In this incarnation, Cheer is redesigned to resemble her 2002 self, and her belly badge reverts to its 2002 look with the addition of appearing slightly fatter. In The Big Whifflesnooze, when she gets highly caught up on work, she accidently tends to a problem that causes every Whiffle to fall asleep. In the midst of this revival, Play Along released brand-new toys based on the newly-redesigned Bears, sold at stores such as Wal-Mart, KMart, Toys “R” Us, Target, K•B Toys, and Mervyns. The new merchandise included the Bears doing aerobics; Tenderheart Bear as a patient (casting the child that is playing with the toy as the doctor); Champ Bear as a fireman; and the Care Bears themselves as Cubs. Over 70 million 13-inch plush Bears have been sold since the re-launch. In addition, Lionsgate Home Entertainment and subsidiary FHE Pictures, in association with Nelvana, have made two direct-to-DVD computer-animated films, Care Bears: Journey to Joke-a-lot in 2004 and The Care Bears’ Big Wish Movie. in 2005. Also worth noting is that the role of unofficial leader was apparently temporarily transferred from Tenderheart Bear to Champ Bear shortly before the 2005 movie, and it is unknown if the role was returned to Tenderheart after the movie. Various other music CDs featuring the bears and video games were also produced. No Care Bears movie was produced in 2006, but hints of the second revival and the upcoming movie, Oopsy Does It!, started circulating among fans in the Internet towards the end of 2006.

In the second CG Care Bears video, Cheer's role is relatively minor when compared to Journey to Joke-a-Lot. She is still among the residents of Care-a-Lot who welcome their new neighbors, Me Bear, Messy Bear, and Too Loud Bear to the community.Joy (voiced by Rachel Albrecht) is a girl who is upset when her best friend moves away; she swears off friendship, but the Care Bears help her by empathizing with her feelings. In some media the hearts in her symbol have no outlines. In other media, both hearts have yellow outlines. Share Bear : the heart-shaped crossed lollipops aren't just delicious-looking. They give this sweet and kind bear the ability to communicate with animals. Hannah (voiced by Sami Staitman) is a girl who knows a lot about camping, but is scared of actually doing it herself, for a number of reasons. She eventually earns an honorary Care Camping stamp.
