The skin on the sergeant was done with Elf flesh mixed with a little Codex grey, highlight up with some bleached bone. Shaded with flesh wash. I neglected to take step-by-step photos while painting, so here are the recipes and a couple of screenshots! I use mostly non-GW paints, but the exact paints are less important than the colors and the techniques. If Tyranids are more your thing, the Termagants and Ripper Swarm + Paints set is a great way to practise painting the mainstays of your swarm. Three Termagants and a Ripper Swarm round out the miniatures, while the infamous colour scheme of Hive Fleet Leviathan comes to life with pots of Naggaroth Night, Magos Purple, Wraithbone, Corax White, Thunderhawk Blue, and Armageddon Dust. Paints + Tools Set

It’s much the same process for infantry, however with the red mostly done in a bulk airbrushing session there really isn’t much left to do once you’ve pin washed and edge highlighted Coat D'Arms match the OLD citadel colours (pre-1992) so there might be some difference. Shining gold has the most noticeable difference, I glued these into their base, and that later made getting a brush to the inside of the cloak a pain. Even if you’re planning to glue them down, I’d push-fit till the cloaks are done. Now with my glaze of Pallid Wych Flesh ready, I go over the raised muscle of the skin to make it stand out against the rest of the flesh, but not enough to make it too much of a bright white color to overwhelm the Rakarth Flesh. That pretty much covers it. I’m happy with the final model and it wasn’t nearly as much time to paint as I expected it might take.

Ceramite White: FFFFFF ● - Averland Sunset: FCB825 ● - Jokaero Orange: EE3823 ● - Mephiston Red: 991115 Step 1(Left)- A solid coat of Zandri Dust. My pot is pretty thin and it took three coats to get a mostly smooth base coat.Nearly 250 years after Behemoth laid waste to Macragge in the First Tyrannic War, Hive Fleet Kraken smashed into the galaxy and reignited the nightmare all over again. This time, its tendrils fanned out wider than before, and Imperial, Aeldari, and fringe T’au Empire worlds alike felt its claws. Cadian Fleshtone: C87958 ● - Kislev Flesh: D6A876 ● - Bestigor Flesh: D28B57 ● - Ungor Flesh: D7A767 Wash Vallejo Charred Brown several more times, starting further from the base of the horn each time, and smooth the wash lines with water. Let each layer dry thoroughly before moving to the next. Emma: For the Tyranids, there are lots of variations of fleshy parts for their symbiotic weapons. The Barbgaunts ’ bio-cannons get a Khorne Red basecoat and a highlight of Tuskgor Fur , and I used Gal Vorbak Red for the mouth and talons of the Psychophage . For the luminous brain matter of the Neurotyrant and Neuroloids, I applied some thinned Frostheart for a creepy blue glow.
