Description

Phanteks provided us with the first colour variant, with a solid side panel. Most cases are fitted with tempered glass panels nowadays (including the other 3 versions of the P600S), so it is surely something unusual.

Cooling3 x 140mm/120mm front fan mounts (2 x 140mm fans included), 1 x 140mm/120mm rear fan mount (fan included), 2 x 140mm or 3 x 120mm roof fan mounts (fans not included) I really can’t say enough about the Eclipse P600S, and regardless of the type of build you’re doing, the P600S has something to offer. Of course, if you are all about airflow you may want to consider the P500Arather than spend the extra on this feature but it is one I love and I have to say hats off to Phanteks for including so many options. The removable center panel at the front, like the rest of the panels, features high-quality sound dampening materials that do a seriously good job for those that prefer acoustic performance. While the P600S supports dual systems, you'll need a few extra components to do this, as they're not included in the box. To start with, the second system is limited to mini-ITX motherboards, with Phanteks offering an ITX upgrade kit that includes a motherboard mount that sits in the roof of of the case and sports its own power button. You'll also need Phanteks' 90cm riser cable extender, which will allow you to mount a discrete GPU for the second system vertically on the PSU cover - not needed if you intend to have a low-power second system with no discrete GPU, but the manual covers this upgrade in a decent amount of detail. Towards the top of the P600s sits the included fan hub that has enough room for more fans if you kit it out and the pre-installed fans already run to the hub. Opening the included accessory box reveals a lot of extras for your P600S. Below is a list of everything that Phanteks has included: Overall, the Phanteks Eclipse P600s is one of the best cases on the market. While I still lean towards the Corsair 5000-series, Phanteks are still high up on my list. The P600s excels in thermal performance when configured correctly and the option to have my system as a stealthy silent beast is one I favor. Going to the bottom of the case, it includes four rubberized feet with a removable PSU intake filter.

You’ll notice there is no power button at the front as this sits front and center at the top of the case. The Rear

Features & Specifications

Moving to the other side of the box is another white line drawing, but this time of its internal layout. Some of my favorite features of the P600S include the magnetic side panels, the choice to either run a silent/performance configuration and cloth mesh. I really hope in the future that Phanteks releases some custom colored fabric mesh so you could further customize your build. Both side panels are completely tool-free and secure to the case with four strong magnets. A nice touch with said magnets is the use of a thin rubber layer on top of each meaning the panels close with a satisfying dull noise rather than a clatter. These side panels make everything from building to upgrading very easy and as previously mentioned, it is my go-to choice for side panel design.
