If you're willing to discount ray tracing hardware entirely, you can discount a lot of other stuff as well and end up with consoles. But if you're willing to compromise on ray tracing just because it's an area where AMD GPUs in particular perform much worse than their Nvidia counterparts, that's just intentionally limiting your view of a graphics card to favor one brand.

Sapphire has done an amazing job with the tongue twistingly named Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 7900 XTX Vapor-X. It's taken the Navi 31 GPU and unleashed it. It's faster, cooler, quieter and looks better than the reference card. Depending on just how it's priced in your country, I'd say the price premium Sapphire is asking for is worth it. I like the way the 7900XT Vapor-X looks better than those other 2 cards and it is a bit cheaper so I am probably going to buy that.

A generously sized heatsink efficiently soaks up heat from the AMD Radeon™ RX 7900 XTX GPU, allowing it to be whisked away by the three Axial-tech fans.

The NITRO+ AMD Radeon™ RX 7900 Series Vapor-X Graphics Cards are constructed with a Die CastedAluminum-Magnesium Alloy Frame that strengthens the structural stiffness of the shroud and ensuresdurability whilst enveloping the sides of the PCB. Located on top of the frame is the Frontplate Heatsinkwhich overlays the entire PCB to cool the VRM components as a dedicated VRM cooling module to createoptimal heat dissipation for peak airflow and cooling performance. The Nitro+ features Sapphire's stunning 3.5 slot Pantheon cooling solution. Its matte grey finish is minimalistic but beautiful in look and feel. Among its many features are the Vapor-X vapour chamber, wave fins for reducing noise, a die cast aluminum front plate for VRM cooling and compared to the reference model, - much greater surface area for heat dissipation. This is a cooler that looks like it can go toe to toe with anything on the Nvidia side of the fence. You'll note in the articles where I look at new games, the conclusion is often (though not always) that ultra and high are basically equivalent quality but ultra requires more GPU resources for minimal gains. Ray tracing, at least in some games, actually does way more than the minor differences between high and ultra. Weakly/poorly done RT of course doesn't do much. So games like Far Cry 6, World of Warcraft, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Dirt 5, etc. But when it's actually used more extensively, it can make a bigger difference, like Minecraft, Cyberpunk 2077, and a few other games. The Sapphire Nitro+ offers excellent performance, though as has been the case over the last three generations, it depends on what games you play, and what value you place on certain features. You probably know where I'm going with this. The Die Casted Aluminum-Magnesium Alloy Frame enveloping the sides of the PCB help to strengthen the structural stiffness of the shroud to create a strong, scratch resistant and high quality finish that elevates the aesthetic and strength of the graphics card. Overlaying the entire PCB, the die casted Frontplate Heatsink cools the VRM, Memory and Chokes resulting in superior heat dissipation for top-notch airflow and cooling performance. As you'd expect for a >300W graphics card, you get triple fans to go along with the large dimensions. Sapphire's latest designs use "angular velocity blade" fans, which are supposed to move more air and last longer than previous Sapphire designs. Sapphire notes that the inclusion of the outer rim helps to improve downward air pressure, by up to 44%, with 19% more airflow. The fans are also 95mm in diameter, compared to AMD's reference design that uses 78mm fans. AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) 1 and 2 are available on select games and require developer integration. See https://www.amd.com/en/technologies/fidelityfx-super-resolution for a list of supported games. AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution is "game dependent" and is supported on the following AMD products. FSR 1.0: AMD Radeon™ RX 6000, RX 5000, RX 500, RX Vega series graphics cards, RX 480, RX 470, RX 460, and all AMD Ryzen™ processors with Radeon™ graphics if the minimum requirements of the game are met. FSR 2.0: AMD Radeon™ RX 6000, RX 5000, RX Vega Series graphics cards, and the Radeon™ RX 590 graphics card if the minimum requirements of the game are met. AMD does not provide technical or warranty support for AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution enablement on other vendors' graphics cards. GD-187. The copper cooler which, like the end terminal, is milled from a single piece of copper and is the core of this cooler. The fine workmanship, paired with the hard and resistant chrome plating covering the entire copper cooler, meet the highest quality standards. The chrome-plated brass G1/4" threads integrated on both sides stand out visually from the terminal. They are a central feature of the new design language that will be evident in all products in the Core series. As of March 2022, Radeon Super Resolution (RSR) is compatible with Radeon RX 5000 series graphics and newer and works with games that support exclusive full-screen mode. AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 22.3.1 or newer is required. For additional information, visit www.amd.com/rsr. GD-197.
