These are great sandles. The sole feels protective and has great traction. The design is simple and looks to be very roboust. I’m looking forward to many years with these.

Interestingly enough, the Z-Treks are a bit quieter than other Amuri sandals, such as the Amuri Venture and Cloud. This is most likely because the Z-Trek is a more stable sandal than its sister huarache-inspired sandals because of its anchor points and toepost-less design. The Amuri Z-Trek from Xeroshoes provides a toepost-less design that is very comfortable, durable, and easy to adjust. In my opinion, the Z-Trek is Xeroshoes best sandal to date and one of the easiest huaraches to simply slip on and get running! Xcursion Fusion – The Xcursion Fusion runs small. There is no break-in period or rough spots. You have complete control. While I’m generally not a Velcro fan for the sound and the potential to wear out/become unglued, I don’t find these bothersome or ever need to adjust that part. Cleaning and CareTerraFlex – Men– On July 30th, 2019 we updated the sizing for the Men’s Terraflex, it now fits true to size.* The soles of the Genesis and Z-Trek are very thin and flexible. We recommend a snug fit for these styles. For me, the perfect sandal also needed to fit into my minimalist, traveling-centered lifestyle. So the barefoot sandals I chose needed to be versatile, good sandals for travel, and able to be worn with everything in my wardrobe. The Z-Trek is our only sandal that fits larger than expected for many customers. For example, many customers who are a size 9 in the Genesis, Cloud and Z-Trail are a size 8 in the Z-Trek. Research around the health benefits of going barefoot is relevant to being completely barefoot (i.e. no shoes or sandals at all). Obviously, sometimes it’s not appropriate to go completely barefoot, so for those times, you might opt for barefoot shoes or sandals (the next best thing!)

Aim for some extra space to allow for your natural movement and keep all your toes on the sole, without having your toes too far under the strap: I also had to be happy wearing them with anything in my wardrobe, including a dress! The z-trail looks perfectly acceptable with a dress or skirt (IMO). Xero shoes later released the Jessie sandal, which is not a trail sandal, but it replaced the Z-trail in my wardrobe for a while. What Other Sandals Should You Consider?

Now you can get those sandals on your foot and get a perfect fit in about 10 seconds. Maybe less. And once you’ve done that one-time adjustment (grab both tabs and pull), you can slip them on-and-off in a second. With a new lacing system also comes new colorways for the Cloud and Venture models! All of our children’s shoes are wider than conventional children’s shoes. If you normally wear a larger size to get a wider fit in conventional shoes, you may not have to do that with Xero Shoes. It’s very important to progress slowly if you do choose to go with minimalist sports shoes or sandals. I’ve been wearing everyday minimalist shoes for many years now, and when I started running in them, I moved through very slow progressions to ensure my body responded favorably.

Melbourne– The Melbourne ran a bit large.
