Most wearable gimbals are very similar, so the only point of differentiation is stabilization performance. The WG2X shines in this area, beating out the likes of the equally popular EVO SS and Hohem XG1. Thanks to its software update, the stabilization is also a noticeable upgrade to its predecessor, the WG2. This makes it perfect for capturing water sports footage. A cradle for holding a GoPro WiFi remote is built into the bottom of the telescoping pole section, which makes taking selfies a breeze. After a microSD card and spare batteries, choosing the best GoPro accessories entirely depends upon what you plan to do with it. You'll probably want a good selection of mounts and adapters, so you can attach the camera to your bike or whatever.

GoPro’s Hero cameras are rugged, feature in-built mounting points and 10m of waterproofing straight out of the box. While this should see you in good stead for most activities, for more extreme sports and diving, you may wish to consider protection. While some third party options are available, when it comes to waterproofing especially we’d always recommend going for the real deal. The textured EVA non-slip grip provides a secure grip and works just as well underwater as on dry land. At the base of the handle is a brightly colored butt, which will float on the surface making it easy to spot amongst the waves. It also works well outside of the water, making filming on dry land a breeze. Costing significantly more than third-party offerings, the GoPro Karma Grip doesn’t offer the best value for money. GoPro gimbals from the likes of Feiyu and Zhiyun have been closing the stabilization performance gap and typically cost half as much as the Karma Grip.
