Description

The AT-LP60X has a square and compact layout. It looks tidy and quite elegant. It isn’t flashy or screaming for attention. But I think the AT-LP60X looks quite nice. Most people would probably guess that I have paid more for it than I actually have. Now, as you hover over the record player, you simply look down to see which button does which, thanks to Audio-Technica moving this text up from the front panel to the top of the turntable in front of the dust cover. The turntable pairs with speakers, headphones or other wireless devices. With its CSR BT chipset, the turntable is even able to connect to devices that support the Qualcomm® aptX™ audio codec, which offers much-improved sound quality over the standard SBC codec. Currently, there isn’t a model that includes all the features, so you have to select which options that are most important for you. If you need any. The standard version is also great and makes it possible to get into vinyl very cheaply. Setting Up

Accessories Included: 3.5 mm (1/8") mini-plug (male) to dual RCA (male) output cable 45 RPM adapter Removable hinged dust cover 1.9 m This is an impressively high-tech feature, and one I can’t help thinking deserves a little more fanfare than a small blue light on the top of the plinth to indicate the turntable is paired. Everyone is aware that a wired connection beats a wireless connection. And everybody knows no-one is buying an Audio-Technica LP60-XBT to make a wired connection. The sensible thing would be to join the XBT to a wireless streamer to start with – so that’s what I did. That said, the AT-LP60X is still an entry-level turntable, and it won’t sound as good as audiophile turntables. Which isn’t expected either. When you unbox the AT-LP60X, it is almost ready to go. The only thing you have to do is placing the belt on the pulley and that’s it. The instructions show clearly how you placate belt. This is by no means the worst entry-level turntable we’ve heard, but sadly it doesn’t quite reach the standard of many previous Audio-Technica attempts. A/D, D/A: 16 bit, 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz selectable ; USB 2.0-compliant Windows 8.1 or above, or Mac OS X or above Dust cover, Felt mat, Platter (with drive belt), 45 RPM adapter, RCA audio cable (approx. 1.2 m (3.9')), USB cable (approx. 1.9 m (6.2')), AC adapter (approx. 1.5 m (4.9')) Output Level: Pre-amp “PHONO”: 2.5 mV nominal at 1 kHz, 5 cm/sec Pre-amp “LINE”: 150 mV nominal at 1 kHz, 5 cm/sec

It comes with a built-in preamp, which means that it outputs a LINE-level signal and can be connected to all receivers and powered speakers. Also those without a PHONO input. With it’s fully automatic functionality, it’s plug and play design (thanks to a built a phono preamp) and the various colors the record player comes in, the AT-LP60X is a perfect option for any beginner that values convenience in the world of vinyl. Best Selling Turntables One thing you wouldn't expect from an ultra-budget turntable is that the sound quality would scale with more expensive equipment. Hook a music jewellery box up to a costly stereo system, for example, and all you'll hear is louder tinkling. The Audio-Technica, on the other hand, really shone with a more expensive system where the bass in particular was able to stretch out. If you set the switch to PHONO, you will need to use the PHONO input on a receiver or powered speakers with a preamp built-in. In this setting, the preamp that is built into the AT-LP60X will be bypassed.Selected items are only available for delivery via the Royal Mail 48® service and other items are available for delivery using this service for a charge. And lastly, the AT-LP60XHP that has a headphone output with volume control and comes with headphones included. I have played records with my AT-LP60XBT to my wireless Beats Studio headphones. The pairing process was smooth and the sound is quite nice. Sound

Mind you, I’d expect some prospective customers will be encouraged by how compact the Audio-Technica is – its tidy dimensions make it a lot less obtrusive than some more sturdy designs. And the mild updating of its appearance over the outgoing AT-LP60BT makes it look marginally more upmarket, too. Dust cover, Felt mat, Platter (with drive belt), 45 RPM adapter, RCA audio cable (approx. 1.2 m (3.9’)), USB cable (approx. 1.9 m (6.2')), AC adapter (approx. 1.5 m (4.9’)) Let’s talk a bit about how easy it is to set this turntable up, and then we’ll get into the features of this record player and how they can benefit you. Now if you’re looking for a great Audio Technica bluetooth turntable, the good news is that the awesome AT-LP60X also comes in a bluetooth-ready version. And I think you will need speakers that are many times more expensive than the AT-LP60X before the turntable becomes the weak link in the system. If you are building a vinyl setup from scratch, it might be worth considering using powered speakers with the AT-LP60X DIE CAST PLATTER: The anti-resonance, die cast platter offers great stability allowing you to experience the high-fidelity audio of vinyl records.
