Once you are in an ideal state and ready to attach the device, treat lubricant as your new best friend! Ideally use a water based lube that won’t interfere with the material of your device (silicone lube should not be used with silicone devices) and apply liberally to your genitals (shaft and testicles), you can also apply a small amount to the inside of the device but be aware you may then need to wear gloves to allow some friction to keep hold of the device during the next steps! Non-integrated work platforms can only be used under the exception in the Use of Work Equipment Directive (AUWED 89/655/EC amnded by 95/63/EC) that allows the use of material handling equipment not designed to lift people in exceptional circumstances. Man cages create a safe elevated workspace, they are also known as: man box, forklift cage, man carrying cage, man safety cage, man workbox, workbox, crane workbox, forklift workbox and there are even a few other less common names used to refer to a man cage. People in the working platform should not stand on the guardrails orlean out of the platform when it is elevated. In cases when people need to lean out of the platform to do work, ensure they wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), which typically consists of a full body harness with lanyard attached to a suitable anchor point.

The selection and use of an appropriate and suitable method of access will depend on the nature of the task to be carried out, the frequency of occurrence, the duration of the work and the availability of equipment.
