About this deal

Incredibly simple yet stunningly effective, each tomato plant halo is pushed into a planting hole cut in the plastic skin of a grow bag and features a watering moat around the outside of the central planting hole; just top this outer ring up with water, apply liquid feed to the centre hole and the two sets of roots which develop - water and feed searching - will do the rest! Six hollow plastic spikes reach down into the grow bag soil and send the 3 litres of water the moat can hold right where it's required, taking 3-5 hours to empty the reservoir.

Simply construct the bamboo structure in the plant halo, fill with compost, sow your seeds, and watch your tomatoes thrive. Our kit includes: Today’s blog is about how to plant tomatoes in halos in the greenhouse for maximum cropping. I sowed my tomatoes 35 days ago indoors on the 17th March and they are Olivade tomatoes, they are a lovely plum tomato with great flavour and flesh which I really like.Sink a Plant Halo into a grow bag or into the ground if you have a traditional vegetable plot. They can also be used in pots with a diameter of 26cm or above or on raised beds. How does it work? Stuff the pot with a selection of bamboo cane pieces, hollow stems, twigs or corrugated cardboard then perch the hotel on its side in a sheltered position. Or, attach a hook to the pot and hang it from a branch. 4. Make a Twine Dispenser

This clever designwill allow you to get more professional results from your greenhouse crops such as (but not only) tomatoes. The science behind the design is that you get exactly the right amount of water and feed to the correct parts of the root structure. They work superbly well in growbags. By delivering water directly to plant roots, the Tomato Halo prevents weeds and cutworms while also providing plant roots with nutrients. You can use the tomato support in any way you want with the versatile design. A Tomato Cage can be found around the Halo’s built-in support channels, or a Tomato Ladder can be found in the built-in support channels. There are several ways to plant it, including in a raised bed, a container, or right in the garden. It is necessary to add a large amount of water to the inner pot to help the soil settle and encourage root growth. You can use water-soluble fertilizers such as Plant Health Care on a regular basis. If you use a Tomato Cage, place it around the halo and press the legs into the soil until the bottom rung rests on the ground. It’s never been easier to start growing your own tomatoes with our Tomato Growing Kit. A real treat for have-a-go gardeners and those keen to grow their own veg, this deluxe kit contains the essentials you need to grow a bumper crop of tomatoes from seed to harvest – all you need is seeds and compost!

How does it work?

You can add more potting compost or high quality garden compost into the halo at planting time, leaving enough space to water into it. This encourages roots to grow from the buried part of the stem, which will provide more support and nutrients for the plant. This also works for some other crops in the same family, such as peppers. Records the default button state of the corresponding category & the status of CCPA. It works only in coordination with the primary cookie. The central inner pot creates the planting area which is particularly useful when used with grow bags. It allows a deeper planting zone to develop healthier plants. A 2.8 litre outer ‘moat’ features eight 3cm watering spikes. These penetrate below the surface, delivering water direct to the plant’s roots. Water and liquid feed deliver at a reduced rate that the plant is better able to absorb, preventing wastage which is common with conventional watering. Position your tomato plant in the center of the halo so that the top two or three sets of leaves are above the center ring. Holding the plant in place, fill the inner pot with soil or Container Mix from Step 2 to within 1.5" of the top. Step 5. Can be used on grow bags, pots (with a diameter of 26cm and above), raised beds and vegetable plots.
