It's the same sort of thing as my Jaffa Cake brownies but with a blondie batter and swapping the Jaffa Cakes for Galaxy Caramel. The method is pretty much the same! Moderate - On your feet for much of the day, either standing or occasional slow paced walking. Typical jobs: shop assistant, teacher, chef/cook, bar worker, engineer. Heavy - Active for much of the day, walking non-stop and carrying objects. Typical jobs: hospital/ward nurse, waitressing in a busy restaurant, cleaner, porter, labourer/construction worker, gardener, farm worker. Leisure Activity Level I know I say this a lot but this is honestly one of my favourite recipes to date. I really enjoy making blondies especially my Jammie Dodger and Biscoff ones but there's something extra special about the blondie recipe I'm sharing with you today. You’ll need things like weighing scales, measuring jug and measuring spoons, a couple of mixing bowls, and a microwave-safe bowl to heat up the cream for the ganache.

As this recipe needs whisking and beating a food processor won’t be able to help us. How can I make sure my Galaxy chocolate cake is perfectly cooked? As I mentioned when I made my Malteser Teaser Cupcakes, there are so many chocolate bars being turned into spreads at the moment. So I feel it is only my duty to then turn these spreads into buttercream to top delicious cakes and cupcakes with! This time it's the turn ofGalaxy Chocolate Cupcakes. I've infused the sponge with Galaxy hot chocolate powder (which by the way is my favourite hot chocolate powder and you must give it a try as it's so creamy and rich for a powder drink.) Then I've made a buttercream using the Galaxy chocolate spread, and of course the decoration had to be in the form of Galaxy chocolate pieces for the ultimate Galaxy triple treat! Ingredient Tips & Equipment Information

Keep your oil somewhere cool and dark, as heat and sunlight will speed up the spoilage process. Make sure the lid is closed properly too so air can’t get into the bottle when it’s not in use. Once cooled, wrap the cakes well in a freezer bag, labeled with the date and type of cake. They’ll keep in the freezer for up to 2 months. Then the night before you need them, get the cakes out to defrost in the fridge, you can then finish off by decorating on the day which doesn't take very long. Can I make this Galaxy chocolate cake in a different quantity? If you want to get ahead you could make the cakes the day before, and decorate them on the day as this doesn't take much time. Allow them to cool completely before storing them in an airtight container until you’re ready to decorate the next day, leaving an hour for the ganache to set before serving. Can I keep this Galaxy chocolate cake in the refrigerator?

What's not to love about smooth Galaxy chocolate with an oozing caramel centre? Put that deliciousness into the centre of a blondie and you have baked goods on a whole new level. Like me, you can put some chopped galaxy throughout the cupcake – but its completely optional. You have enough galaxy in the buttercream and decoration that you definitely don’t need it – but I just love going a little overboard on a flavour theme! As you all well know… As usual I used my all time favourite baking cups from Iced Jems. The good thing about them is that they’re so easy to use, and she sells so many of them there is always ones to suit your theme! I used the brown polka dot baking cups as the brown colour fit the chocolate theme! Chocolate It’s also important to preheat the oven as the cakes need to bake at a constant temperature, it can take up to 15 minutes for the oven to reach the temperature you need. For this recipe, I’ve used wheat-based self-raising flour so it would not be gluten-free. I haven’t tested this recipe with gluten-free flour yet but you could give it a try if you want, let me know how you get on in the comments below.Usually, homemade bakes are best enjoyed on the day they are made so if you can try and make this the day you want to serve it. As we’re using sunflower oil instead of butter to make this moist chocolate cake the batter might seem wetter than cakes you’ve made before. Don’t worry it will be quite wet at this stage, and given enough time in the oven the cake should bake to perfection. Have a look at the photos above, you’ll be able to see how liquid the cake mix looks before it's cooked. Baileys is a popular brand of Irish cream which is a liqueur of Irish whisky mixed with cream and sometimes other flavourings like coffee, chocolate and vanilla. In the UK it is easy to come by in the supermarket or online, other Irish creams will work just as well as Baileys for the filling of this indulgent cake so use your favourite. How can I tell if sunflower oil has gone off? Yes, this decadent chocolate cake is totally fine for vegetarians, it contains dairy cream and eggs but no meat or fish products. Alternately, spoon about ¼ of the colored batter into two 8" (20cm) cake pans just until the bottom is fully covered. Arrange the baked cake pops on top of the batter in the two cake pans. Spoon the remaining batter on top of the planets to cover them completely. Then carefully run the tip of a knife through the batter to draw a pattern. Be careful not to mix up the colors too much. Notes on the buttercream

This cake has chocolate at every level. If you like you could spread a little of the Galaxy chocolate ganache onto the bottom cake before you add the Baileys cream filling, adding an extra layer of chocolate to the cake. How should I store Galaxy chocolate cake? Finally, keep the oven door shut, the cakes need time to bake and if you open the door too early the temperature fluctuation in the oven will make the cakes sink. You can keep an eye on them through the oven door. How can I add/change the flavours in this Galaxy chocolate cake? tablespoon of crushed chia seeds or flax seeds mixed with 2 tablespoons of water and left for 10 minutes in the fridge. Slowly and carefully pour the ganache over the cake, using the offset palette knife to smooth the top and sides. So this started out as my base blondie recipe, it's exactly the same recipe I used for my Mini Egg Blondies (except there's no mini eggs, obvs).

Add the vanilla extract to the bowl along with the eggs. Beat well for 3 minutes until light and fluffy.
