I think so, yes. There are so many different recipes you can make with the Ninja. The versatility of the machine makes it so much more than a soup maker. However, if we are purely comparing the soup making abilities, then again, I much prefer the Ninja. Blenders can also be used for making a healthy drink on-the-go. Portable and one-cup blenders cater for this. You'll often find that they are also much easier to clean than the larger countertop blenders, simply because there are fewer components to it. At the end of a program (that uses heat), the Ninja will keep the contents warm for up to 60 minutes. Is It Easy To Use? I made the strawberry jam recipe supplied in the book. I did alter it slightly because I couldn’t get hold of any fruit pectin – I could only find jam sugar in my local supermarket.

All the functions, manual and presets, use physical one-touch buttons. It also has a built-in timer that counts down or up during automated and manual blending/ cooking. Take the thinking out of blending with this wonderfully capable model from Nutribullet, which also has a great capacity for families. Our Ecommerce Editor Molly Cleary uses this blender every day thanks to how versatile it is. It's perfect for large smoothie batches and frozen drinks, but also gets wheeled out for sauces, dips, purees, and soups thanks to its capability with hot ingredients. Staying on top of cleaning your blender is vital if you want it to last as long as possible and if you want to avoid any nasty odours building up. You can place many blending jugs inside the dishwasher, but you can also clean them by adding warm water and dish soap to the blending jug, putting the lid on, and blending up the soapy solution. A blender for one, this model has a small capacity and is only able to blend the contents of the single-serve jug.The Cuisinart Cordless On The Go Blender has a small blade and a single blending setting. If you're looking for an all-purpose blender then this probably isn't the model for you, however, if you are looking for a blender to regularly make drinks then this is a fab option. Secondly, this blender can prepare cold blend recipes like smoothies, milkshakes, juice, frozen drinks, and ice cream. It also has dedicated heating functions for cooking soups, baby food, cheese fondue, or just warming liquids.Even better, the countertop blender has a built-in heating element if you’d like to melt chocolate or cheese into fondue. You could also use the feature to prepare hot recipes like soups, baby food, soy milk, and corn juice. The control panel even has the preset programs for them in case you’re trying to multitask.

Why you can trust Woman & Home At woman&home we test hundreds of products and would never recommend something that we wouldn't personally buy, use or give as a gift to a loved one. Find out more about how we research and test products.Power: Generally, the higher the wattage the better—it’ll provide faster blending and reduce your food prep time. Do note, however, that while higher wattage gives a rough idea as to how powerful the motor is, it doesn’t always equate to a blender being a better all-around model. 500 watts is generally powerful enough for a blender that's expected to do the typical tasks. Frustratingly, the lid was very hot when adding the dried noodle nest, so if you're looking to add ingredients part-way through cooking, please be careful. Note that I did test the keep warm function while making this recipe, and while the soup did retain its temperature, the soup noodles did go a bit sludgy in texture. Value for money: We tested a range of blenders, spanning a range of price points. We examined whether or not the more expensive models were worth it. In truth, Vitamix, Blendtec, and Breville all have a blender that can prepare cold desserts and warm soups. However, these machines use the friction from the spinning blades to generate the heat. So, it can’t cook your soup to a boiling temperature as with a True hot and cold blender that relies on a heating element.
