The ending and especially that epilogue was sooo adorable. Although I have read just book 1 in the series, am already in love with Santiago- so looking forward to reading his book the most. Liam seems like the type who might frustrate me and I got no opinion on Jax. So let's see how it goes 👀🤷‍♀️ This was a cookie cutter romcom that fit every box, it was emotional, romantic, there's some miscommunication trope (twice to 3 times), sex after 60%, a little bit of a slow-burn and a happy ending. Throttled alternates between Noah and Maya’s POV throughout the whole book giving a wider experience not only in their story progression but also their character growth. I don't have enough words to describe this wonderful person so perhaps emojis will do him more justice:

Way better than what I expected. Ngl compared to her Dreamland Billionaire series, this is a FAR BETTER written book. Formula 1 paired with forbidden romance and brother's rival 🤭🤭 Let me tell ya, I ate it up. I had so much fun with this book. Maya is literally portrayed as American, even though we have to believe she is Spanish. She went to an American school in Madrid, speaks with no accent whatsoever, and actually talks in miles instead of kilometers. But no, she is still Spanish: she loves sangria and paella and her mother knows they are her favourite things to eat. She has the fiesty personality, the tan. Things that make her look a bit more 'exotic', a bit different than the other girls. The writing really put me off. The informal language didn't bother me so much, but what did was the way Maya and Noah assessed everything with an air of superiority and went through life with a bad attitude. Speak of the devil, Santiago’s royal blue car shows up in my side mirror. I shake my head as my car hugs another turn. He acts like a young shit who tries to show off a little too much, attempting to make a name for himself with his team and the F1 circuit. His skills are decent for a new guy, but one too many close calls during this race season make me hesitant to let him get close.

don't get me started on rowan or should i say the most boring man to ever live . i can't believe i'm saying this but alex from twisted love is 10x better than daddy issues rowan.

The only good part about this book was that the hero went to therapy. Most manwhores usually have commitment and trust issues but they NEVER go to therapy. So, I am glad Noah did before he tried to be in a serious relationship with Maya. With each passing day, Noah and Maya push and pull, their desire becoming more muscular and their resistance weaker. Santi and Noah’s competition and their fear of the consequences stand in the way of a possible romance, but as they spend more time together and Noah allows Maya to see behind the famed player front, the two get closer. This is VERY similar to the hating game and the love hypothesis, if you loved those, you are going to enjoy this. I probably missed some more, but all these things made me pissed off for at least a good half of the story. My life went full-blown Dreamland princess in less than an hour. But instead of a prince on a horse, I ended up with Rowan–the perfect kind of morally gray hero I love reading about.ainst the headrest while our cars spin out of control. The hit jerks me, my body aching in ways I didn’t think possible. A man willing to do anything to get what he wants . Selfish.controlling . An angry man with secret smiles and soft laughs and a golden heart he keeps hidden from the world” Mmmmmm nope . A chill runs down my spine. Unable to move with my body trapped, I sit while Jax’s car swerves before ramming into mine, the turn from earlier making me vulnerable to another hit. Holy shit. My body shudders and my head painfully bounces ag the hero Noah is such an unlikable guy and also a bit disgusting, I just didn't like him at all and after hearing what apparently happens around the halfway point of the novel, I just know that reading the rest of the book wouldn't change my opinion on him

I didn’t like the romance between Maya and Noah either. It felt forced. I didn’t see any connection or chemistry between them. This author deserves bonus points for making me enjoy a sweet, slow burn romance, because it's not the type of book I normally gravitate towards. On top of that, the steam is on point! It's way better than I expected it to be for the author's first book. Overall, I enjoyed Throttled, and I look forward to seeing what Lauren Asher comes up with next!

The billionaire just had to take her on a private jet to NYC, otherwise it won't be a rich guy romance. (That one I'm willing to let go of). I've been reading gossip about those different drivers. Men like Liam Zander and Noah Slade pop up all the time, and you should see what women say about them. Don't get my started on Jax, that man has trouble following him like a bad smell." Her voice fails to hide her disdain. " Maya is the newly college graduated sister of his former rival turned teammate, Santiago. Santi and Maya are super close, so when he invites her to come along with him as he travels the world, she graciously accepts. Santi's very protective of his sister and Noah's reputation proceeds him, so Maya tries her best to stay away from Noah despite their attraction. ....Too bad, the heart wants what it wants. and it annoys me so much bcos this had potential for me to be really good! you best believe i am reading Declan and Cal’s books... Cal, sir👀 if you’re looking for a heroine for your book look no further baby😘 Always having an imaginative streak, Lauren Asher would focus on her love of reading and writing from a very early age. This passion of hers would develop over time, allowing her to essentially become the full-time novelist she’d always wanted to become. Refining and honing her craft throughout the intervening years, she’d come to establish her own unique voice with its distinct style and tone.

Maya was sweet, patient and kind. She's the type of girl you wanna be best friends with. I didn't get her and Sophie's friendship tho, felt a bit odd to me but it's okay. I liked how supportive and unproblematic Maya was. She knew exactly what she wanted and she wasn't afraid to set boundaries and I loved seeing that. And the only way he found to describe Maya's anything was by imagining it wrapped around his parts and feeling the texture of it against his skin and squeezing it between his abominably muscular thighs and running his lips over its beautiful smoothness and doing to it what was described in basically every single word in his chapters.
