Tee off at the same time with up to three other players* and race through the course to get your ball in first. Mayhem is par for the course as you hinder your opponents with dashes and Special Shots. Yoshi can dash atop a giant egg and King Bob-omb can pelt the green with explosions! In Battle Golf, watch out for obstacles like Thwomps, Chain Chomps, and banana peels as you navigate the neon-themed Super Golf Stadium. Golf! With explosions! That’s pretty much the elevator pitch for Super Inefficient Golf, and honestly, what else do you need to know? It’s not exactly a realistic golf sim, but it is one of the most fun golf games out there, and is great fun to play with friends. For those who prefer their golfing games much less serious, Infinite Minigolf is for you. A series of minigolf (or crazy golf, depending where you live) courses, it’s all about making precise putts and having a lot of fun in the process.

If you don't want to play solo, you can always invite your friends or family to play in the multiplayer mode! Choose your character skins, golf clubs and compete in a tournament for the title of the best golfer! When playing through a map, you’ll have to contend with various hazards, quirky challenges and strange environmental interactions e.g. ball-stealing drones and angry reindeer. The game gets progressively sillier as you work through it, and it’s a lot of fun. There are difficulty settings so you can adjust the game to suit you (we won’t judge if you prefer an easy win), and, like any golf game on Switch should have, Neo Turf Masters has multiplayer options. You can either battle it out with players around the world for a high score, or get a friend to join you locally for a two-played battle. It might not look quite as realistic as some of its more modern counterparts, but Neo Turf Masters has a whole lot of charm all the same. 8. Infinite Minigolf The online leaderboard feature is good fun, too. You can rate the maps that other people have created, and compete to rank on the leaderboard against other players. If you’re a competitive person, you’re bound to find this part absorbing. This is one of the most unique golf games available on the Nintendo Switch. It combines abandoned buildings, radios and thieving squirrels in an apocalyptic yet charming environment. It’s certainly not the most realistic golf game available, but it’s a solid title for anyone who wants a fun golfing experience. Want to sprint a golf course or two with Mario and chums? You can do that in Mario Golf: Super Rush. The latest entry in the Mario Golf series, Super Rush features an adventure mode in which you import or create a Mii before embarking on a journey of golf enlightenment. Unfortunately it’s not very long, but it’s fairly fun while it lasts and is a good way to learn the game’s mechanics. Outside of adventure mode, there’s a single player challenge mode, and of course you can play a game of golf against friends, either online or offline. PGA Tour 2K21 marks the first time the series has been released on the Switch, however, and given that HB has had to technically downgrade its game to be playable on Nintendo’s system, the results aren’t too shabby. It’s certainly the most realistic looking golf game on the Switch, although when your competition includes Golf Story and What the Golf?, we suppose ‘most realistic’ is a prize it gets purely for existing.

Aside from the story and RPG elements, the simple golfing in Golf Story is excellent, too. Its wonderful 2D pixelated graphics make this feel like a SNES classic, and its simple golfing mechanics are easy to get to grips with. Sending your ball flying up the fairway has never been so satisfying. It might be far from your traditional golf game, but it’s still one of the best on Nintendo Switch by far. This is one of my favorite games on the list by far. It’s fun and offers a unique POV on the golf video game niche, creating an enjoyable experience for anyone who’s a fan of the RPG genre. Party Golf It’s worth noting that this is a very short game which banks on people wanting to replay it and try out new tactics. While it’s certainly not a game that you’ll be able to keep playing for days on end, it’s a fun experience that encourages you to think creatively and try out new things. Could it be better? Definitely! Hopefully they will include some courses and fix the bugs at a later point, but for now I'm just trying to get my swing together and learn how to play.

Prove you’ve got what it takes to become FedExCup Champion. Take on PGA TOUR Pros during your very own career, earning rewards and gear along the way. I love golf, and though I haven't played any golf in about 15 years, I really wanted to have a proper golf game for my switch. Visually, this game is intriguing. The apocalyptic game levels are well made, and there’s plenty of interesting decorations scattered around to add extra realism. It’s worth noting that these signs and decorations do contain some obscene language, so bear this in mind if you’re grabbing a game for a younger person in your life. Play against the pros. Play with your crew. In PGA TOUR 2K21, you can play by the rules or create your own!

Typically most sports games are fast-paced and intense, but Infinite Golf 2 is a breath of fresh air. Although Ubisoft’s Sports Party game includes a range of sports other than golf, it’s still one of the best golf games on Switch right now. It offers up perhaps the most realistic golfing experience on the console, even if it is a bit limited. There is not too much of a storyline to follow along with in this game, aside from a note-based story between two interesting characters. The world design is what really makes A Little Golf Journey stand out, though. It’s absolutely beautiful, containing 9 unique islands to explore. The world themes are truly interesting, with everything from ruined castles to enchanted forests. This title is weird, but it’s an absolute gem if you’re looking for a unique single player experience. If you’re looking for a hardcore, technical game that requires lots of skill, this isn’t the game for you. However, if you’re hunting for a slightly strange take on a classic game, I’d suggest adding What the Golf to your Switch library immediately. Golf PeaksMy biggest problem is that it's signing out so many times even though my internet is okay. It's so frustrating. It also takes a long time to find other players to play against. Then suddenly on hole 4 you're signed out... Play against Justin Thomas and 11 top pros on stunning, real-life courses including TPC Sawgrass, East Lake Golf Club, and more.
