Slumped miserably on the barren surface of Master in their smallest robot forms, Chromedome, Fortress and Highbrow's attention was caught when a time-travelling spaceship materialized over their heads and crashed nearby. By studying and reverse-engineering the technology found in this spaceship, Fortress and the scientists of Master invented Transtectors and the Headmaster process. It seemed that their foes were able to escape them by leaping into a crevasse, but moments later, they came bursting out of the ground beneath the Autobots' feet. Chromedome and company, however, were able to use this to their advantage by sneaking away under cover of the dust cloud the villains' emergence had created. Informed by their leader Fortress that the Decepticons were heading for Cybertron, Chromedome and the other Headmasters set out after them aboard Fortress's Battleship Maximus, with Chromedome particularly excited at the prospect of meeting Optimus Prime. At some unknown point, Sideswipe was used as a template for a clone built for covert operations who was also made a member of the Autobot Alphastrike Counterforce. Final Strike Figure Series marketing material [2] After giving the Transtectors to the three human children, Shūta, Cab, and Minerva, transforming them into the Autobots' new Headmaster Junior warriors, Metalhawk informed them of Chromedome's role in their new powers. Shūta had heard his father speak of Chromedome before and expressed a desire to meet him, so Metalhawk played a recorded message that Chromedome had sent them. Evidently recorded in the middle of battle, the short but sweet missive had Chromedome inform them that fighting was only worsening out in space, and that he hoped they would all fight their hardest on Earth as well. The Headmasters Juniors all thought Chromedome was cool, and vowed not to let him down. Birth! Headmaster Jrs Unite Warriors Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, Trailbreaker, Roulette, and Shadow Striker returned to the technorganic Cybertron after a prolonged journey and were welcomed by the Maximals. Unicron abducted these newly returned Transformers, in addition to many others from different times and universes, to start a final confrontation against Primus. Sideswipe and Sunstreaker were rebuilt into new forms, Abduction corrupted by Unicron's influence, and set against one another in the Cauldron. Before either brother could land a killing blow, however, the fight was broken up by Optimus Primal. Sideswipe then fought his way out of Unicron alongside many other Transformers rescued by Primal and returned to Cybertron. In the Marvel UK Transformers story "Worlds Apart", set during issue #4 of the Headmasters comic, Crosshairs, Pointblank and Sureshot are captured by the Decepticons and used as bait to capture the Autobot Headmasters. Hardhead is able to free the Autobot Targetmasters and even the odds against the Decepticons.

Pointblank's disposition improved a bit when he was paired with Peacemaker, a Nebulan law enforcement officer whose optimistic attitude is almost contagious. But so far Pointblank has displayed immunity to the Nebulan's best efforts to cheer him. Pointblank appreciates the attempt, but disapproves of the source. Although he understands the reasons behind the Autobot-Nebulan alliance, he does not accept them. The thought of spreading the war to another planet and people is anathema to the dour Autobot. Despite this, Peacemaker enjoys the challenge of loosening up his partner. He is a very patient man who believes that a positive outlook ultimately leads to success. And, as the partner of the sullen Pointblank, he's learned that patience is more than a virtue... it's a necessity. Following their defeat at the North Pole, the Decepticons were finally expelled from Earth, and the Autobots prepared to follow them. Chromedome assured Daniel that although the Autobots were leaving, the peace they had brought to the Earth was here to stay. The Final Showdown on Earth (Part 2) The change from "Diaclone" to "Ancient Time Universe" is because TakaraTomy has a concurrently-running Diaclone revival line entirely separate from Transformers (focusing on the original pre- Car Robot aesthetic). Although Peacemaker is not depicted, in issue #38 of The Transformers the Autobots and Decepticons from Nebulos arrive on Earth. JoePointblank includes one accessory: his Targetmaster partner, Peacemaker. The inclusion of this mini-figure has been the subject of much conversation among fans. By including this figure (which transforms into a weapon), this ate into the budget for Pointblank himself. Given the choice of just having a weapon that looks like Peacemaker versus actually having him as a separate figure, I'm glad the designers chose to go this route and made him a transforming figure. That said, he is not anywhere near the same level as the Targetmasters included with the Takara Tomy exclusive Legends figures or the War for Cybertron Battle Masters. This Peacemaker figure is much more like the G1 figure. It features two hinge joints. One for the legs to swing up over the top half of the body, then another to swing out the weapon barrel. While he has fully sculpted arms, legs and a head, none of them can move. Some fans aren't crazy about this, but when it comes to these "partners" the priority for me is recognition of the character. I prefer having a two mode Peacemaker figure with Pointblank instead of say, a solid plastic weapon that looks like Peacemaker in weapon mode without a humanoid form. epic modes: the action figure can be transformed from robot to sports car in 15 steps and comes with 2 Energon blasters.
