Description

she made a much more satisfactory man than a woman, and it was narrow-minded of Pertelote to think otherwise” ….wut? This is about a woman who has literally no face left, disguising herself as a man to take revenge on Dr. Watson…. And this is what we have to say about it? Okay then. This is a very clever mystery. Sometimes books in a series can become rather repetitive after awhile, but that is not the case here. Enola has new ideas and techniques to solve this mystery, which is more personal to her due to the disappearance of someone she respects. And this book was amazingly cool from start to finish! Mostly because this time Enola's full focus was on the case she was dealing with. And not without reason, because James Watson is missing and she did specialize in finding lost people, didn't she? And therefore this book contains a lot of scheming, planning, going undercover, asking the right and wrong questions and some action where our Enola comes very close to a dangerous enemy. Wadley, Laura (2006). "Review of The Case of the Missing Marquess by Nancy Springer". Children's Book and Play Review. 26 (4): 28 . Retrieved 17 March 2016. [ permanent dead link] New readers and myself will get a chance to explore this mystery further on the big screen. Sometime later this year, Stranger Things’ Millie Bobby Brown will star as Enola Holmes. Could this feature film reveal the truth about Enola? Is she really a Holmes? Well, if you’re not willing to wait, there’s another way to get your answer!

Life here could be full of horrors and the author keeps up that quotient in the story as she features a baby whose face was eaten by Rats. Imagine growing up like that and what it would do to the mental balance of such person. But it also shows the strength of character for Enola – someone who has grown up in countryside – to come face-to-face with such horrors and not lose the desire to help them.

She longs for the family and she yet maintains the desire to remain independent. It will be interesting to watch how she grows up into a woman she wants to be. Summary:

Success!

Released in September 2022, Enola is once again trying to help her friend, Lady Cecily. [8] Enola Holmes and the Mark of The Mongoose (2023) [ edit ] MacPherson, Karen (29 May 2007). Enola is very classist, to the point of typically assuming that the things the lower classes say to her are just so much nonsense. I’m hoping she will soon realize her mistake, as often the reader is well aware that it’s not nonsense if only Enola would actually listen. She does, however, understand how the classes work, and knows she’s safer on the streets if she looks like she’s lower class. She also uses disguises of different classes to gain access to different places. Puzzles Oh, and Enola tells a story of a women who was put away into an insane asylum because she sat down on the ground in her dress and her husband thought it was less embarrassing than divorce. Um….. okay. This author really wants to portray these times as just a living hell, doesn’t she? Maneron, Philippe. "Les enquêtes d'Enola Holmes - BD, informations, cotes". Bedetheque.com (in French). With precise characterization, fast pacing and keen observation, readers will be eager to learn what Enola will encounter next.

This title is only available as an ebook or audiobook. Dear Enola bends her ferocious intellect and perceptiveness to a case that that elicits her immediate interest and concern. Doctor John Watson is missing, and no one knows what has happened to him.
