About this deal

When the iron is warm, carefully iron the cloth in circular motions for 10-30 seconds at a time. Do not steam the carpet. After completing this process, an oil spot may remain where the wax was removed. Pre-treat your clothing with Tide Ultra Stain Release Liquid. Our candle gel is the Penreco Versagel™ - C brand. It is a premixed gel that is easy to use and all you need to do is heat it, add color and scent and pour! Gel doesn't shrink so there is no need to re-pour! Gel burns twice as long as wax and you can suspend decorative objects, wax chunks, marbles etc. You can add liquid dye to color the gel and fragrance oils for scent.

Paraffin wax (often referred to as mineral wax) is made from petroleum. Over the years paraffin wax has become very popular with candle makers as many find it easy to use. It is also considered to give out a better scent throw than vegetable waxes and has a clean odourless burn. Another plus is that paraffin wax is odourless and possesses a pale white colour. If the wax is soft, pop some ice cubes in a bag and rest the ice-filled bag on the wax to harden it, but make sure the wax doesn’t get wet. plant-based waxes, like our vegetable wax, are non-toxic. Unlike paraffin candles, they are made from a renewable, sustainable source, and there is no soot build-up, so they burn cleanly. If you’re looking for a wax option for candles that is safe, vegetable wax is the best choice for both you and the environment. Re-soak the cotton cloth when it dries out, and use a fresh patch of cloth to draw more wax up and out of the carpet.Start by placing the garment in the freezer for 30 minutes to freeze the wax. This encourages rapid solidification and prevents the wax from soaking into the fabric.

Before deciding which candle wax to use you must know what sort of candle that you want. You must decide if you want to make a votive candle, a pillar candle or a container candle. Many new candle makers start off by making a container candle as they are so easy to make. Pillar candles are slightly more difficult because they are free standing - they are made out of hard wax. Votive candles are usually small and are put into a container when burnt.

Why You Shouldn’t Burn Candles

Apply medium heat with a clothes iron to heat through the cloth into the carpet and adhere any wax to the cloth.

Tip: Don’t put the hair dryer too close to the carpet because you might scorch it/cause irreparable damage. Ice Re-shine your surface by simply applying the proper furniture polish. For wood surfaces, make sure the polish you choose is meant for the type, color and finish of the wood. To remove wax from glass, use the same method as used for other surfaces, i.e. to scratch away the hard dried wax. For glass, use a plastic ruler. Clean the remaining wax and stain with lukewarm soapy water. Warm water will soften the wax, facilitating easy cleaning. 6. Painted Wall Start by heating up the wax with a hairdryer approximately 6-inches away from the wax. You don’t want to heat the wood and cause damage. If the material doesn’t begin to soften after one minute, move the dryer within 3 to 4 inches from the surface. If the stain is colored, use lukewarm water and an oxygen-based stain remover and let it soak (this step is only for colored stains). Remove the clothing from the freezer and snap off the frozen wax by rustling the fabric and shaking it off. Ventilation is key– If you plan on using chemicals to clean your carpet, remember to keep the windows in the room open.
