About this deal

So if you combine steam ready time with steaming time, we're saving about 37 seconds. This might not sound like a lot, but if you make just 2 coffees per day, that's almost 40 minutes per month saved, or around 8 hours per year, of waiting. Faster shot ready time after steaming Thankfully, the Breville Infuser features a “Clean Me” indicator. This lights up on its own when it’s time for you to clean the espresso machine. I'm talking about Sage espresso machines, assuming that you're also on this little rainy island in which they go by this brand name. The Breville brand is owned in the UK by an American firm called Newell Brands, and they sell coffee machines using the Breville brand, but they are not the same as the Sage coffee machines that sell as Breville in other parts of the world. You can’t do that if you’re getting the Breville Do Tem Pro. While it also has PID technology, the temperature is not adjustable.

I'll also be looking at other comparisons including the Sage Barista Pro vs the Sage Bambino Plus and stand alone grinder. Now that we’ve gone over the similarities between the Breville Duo Temp Pro and the Infuser, it’s time to talk about the differences. change out my 3 beans, and know exactly what grind size I need to get the same result consistently.

Your espresso journey starts here.

The Barista Pro, Barista Touch, and the Bambino Plus (and that one is a stand alone espresso machine, not an integrated grinder machine) all feature the new “thermojet” water heater, while the original machines (Barista Express and Duo Temp Pro) feature the original thermocoil. If you have wide cappuccino cups, and you like to make two lattes at a time for yourself and your better half, for example, by splitting a double shot, you'll probably have room for that on the drip tray of the oracle touch, but there isn't quite the same horizontal space on the drip tray of the Touch Impress, so you may have to split the shot into two shot glasses and then decant these into the cappuccino cups.

The Gaggia Classic is a similar coffee machine to the Sage Duo Temp. Like the Sage, it’s an espresso maker that doesn’t include a built-in grinder, but has a steam wand, two spouts and a similar price. The Barista Express has a lower RRP, though, and because it's been around for so long, there is more competition for it, and the price you can get it for at times makes it a very, very interesting proposition, especially vs other usually lower priced options.OK, there are a few other differences, including size as the Duo Temp Pro is smaller, but it is quite similar to the Express without the integrated grinder. You want to geek out and really try to hone your skills on your day off or when you have some downtime, but you want an easier user experience in the mornings when you're in a mad rush.
