The G30 is only slightly cheaper than the G30 Edge so it seems a worthwhile upgrade to utilise the no-go zones feature, especially considering it comes with boundary strips included. Apart from this differentiation, the vacuums are mostly identical. I was looking to get either the G10 Hybrid or the G30 Hybrid models. I am a bit unclear on how exactly the mapping function works in both of these. Yes, you can but with the L70 Hybrid, you will not be able to schedule the robot, set no-go zones, watch the cleaning process, etc.

As with most robot vacuums, the dust collection bin isn’t particularly big – only 0.6 litre in capacity – so you’ll need to empty it fairly regularly. Fortunately, this is easy enough to do and accessing the washable filter is straightforward as well. Eufy RoboVac G30 Edge review: Is it good at finding its way around? Because of being not as powerful and a different type of disposable bag, the eufy RoboVac LR30 Hybrid+ is cheaper.

The Eufy Home app is simple to use, making this robot vacuum cleaner extremely easy to control. Once you’ve launched the app and connected the robot vacuum to your home Wi-Fi network, you can set it cleaning and away it will go. Eufy has added some significant navigation skills to the G30 Edge and they’re worth having. The G30 Edge isn’t as sophisticated at map building and learning about its environment as rival models like the Neato Botvac D7 Connected but the basic mapmaking displayed here is better than the trundle and bump navigation we’ve seen on Eufy’s cheaper models, such as the 15C. In this case, go with the "C" line: eufy 15C, 15C MAX, 25C, 30C, 30C MAX, 35C, “G” line: G10 Hybrid, G30 / G30 Edge, and the latest eufy RoboVac L70 Hybrid. These are app-enabled machines that can be controlled by your voice. This is worth doing if you can’t tidy a particular knot of cables out of the way, as I did experience some problems with it getting tangled with cables lying on the floor. However, it did a good job of climbing from hard floor onto rugs and even doormats without getting beached.

Eufy recommends cleaning the dustbin after every use, and the filter and main rolling brush once a week. Every month, you should clean the side brush, drop sensors, and wheels. You’ll need to replace the filter every two months, the side brush every three to six months, and the main rolling brush every six to 12 months. Instructions for cleaning and replacing these parts are in the owner’s manual. In the box, you get a cleaning tool plus an extra filter and side brush. EufyHome App The Hybrid represents the mopping option. The robots with “Hybrid” in the naming can do mopping and sweeping and is suitable for both surfaces, hard floors, and low-pile carpets. If you don’t care about the magnetic tape and don’t have carpets or already have a traditional vacuum that would be the main cleaner get the eufy RoboVac 15C. The WiFi-enabled "C", "G", "L", and "X" Series can be controlled from your smartphone as well as voice commands if you have Alexa or Google Home. Cliff & Anti-Collision Sensors This vacuum cleaner offers convenience and ease of use with its remote operation capabilities and compatibility with popular voice assistants. Its large dust capacity allows for efficient cleaning without frequent emptying. With a long runtime and automatic base station return, users can enjoy uninterrupted cleaning sessions. On test, the Eufy G30 Hybrid impressed with its suction power on both carpets and hard floors. It collected fine dust, cookie crumbs and larger debris – including cereal – with ease, even on the lowest power setting. Capable of mopping as well as vacuuming on hard floors, the G30 Hybrid will happily slosh water over your floors to remove fresh dirt. However, it doesn’t have a scrubbing action, so struggles with tougher, ground-in dirt and stains.

The G30 and G30 Edge are near identical, however, the G30 Edge can recognise no-go zones. These are created via the physical boundary strips that are included with the device and must be laid on the floor where the robot vacuum should not go. The Eufy Home app is pretty minimal, with the upside being that it’s a breeze to navigate. The top of the home screen displays the vacuum’s battery level along with cleaning area and cleaning time stats. Vacuum controls, a scheduling option, and detailed cleaning history are accessible from a tool menu on the bottom of the screen. But I wasn’t crazy about the fact you must open a separate pop-up window every time you want to view the map, especially since the valuable real estate in the center the home screen, where other robot vacuum apps typically locate the floor plan, was here occupied by a static graphic of a living room. Our Smart Dynamic Navigation series of robotic vacuum cleaners takes intelligent cleaning to the next level. Featuring Smart Dynamic Navigation 2.0, these robot The other problem is that the spot cleaning mode isn’t quite as logical as it ought to be. The icon on the button that controls the process looks like it should start in the middle and work its way out, cleaning in an increasing spiral shape. However, in my experience, the centre of the cleaning area appeared to move as the RoboVac’s arcs got wider, sometimes moving away from the area I wanted cleaned. The G30 can cope with pet hair, however, you will need to regularly untangle the bristles. Those with pets might want to take a look at a Roomba which has their dual rubber roller brushes that handle hair very well. The Roomba 600-series is a good place to start and isn’t too dissimilar from Eufy on price. The only difference between this model and the RoboVac L35 Hybrid+ is suction power (3,000 Pa vs. 3,200 Pa) and the L35+ Hybrid uses an anti-bacterial and deodorizing dust bag while the LR30 has a standard disposable bag. Other specifications are the same. The EufyHome app is great. It offers an impressive amount of control for a vacuum that doesn’t have room-by-room app support, including speaker volume control, suction level customization, and scheduled cleaning options. However, the physical body of the Verge feels too fragile for my personal preferences. The robot is equipped with a water tank and mopping pad and is also suitable for bare flooring. Inside the dustbin, a filter can be washed with water and is meant to live longer.

The models with MAX in naming mean these are the most powerful machines in the Series. Normally they might or might not have Wi-Fi and all the following features but always deliver 2,000 Pa of suction and are suitable for medium-pile carpets. The EufyHome app is intuitive and easy to use. In the app, you can start and pause cleaning jobs, select the cleaning mode and suction level, set a cleaning schedule, and view your cleaning history.

Customer reviews

After those 88 minutes, the dustbin was completely filled with dust, dog hair, crumbs, and feathers that must have escaped my pillows. My floors looked much cleaner, and my carpets had perfect vacuum lines on them. As you might expect from a parent company like Anker, this vacuum boasts an impressive battery life. It has a runtime of up to 110 minutes (or 1 hour and 50 minutes) on a single charge, which is pretty impressive!
