Description

When the Gemini clue is discussed, an inkblot is mentioned, but there is no indication to the viewer as to what this means.

Velma said the signal representing Scooby was moving awfully fast when in fact it wasn't "moving" at all. The signal flashing fast could compensate for that. It's unclear what relationship Mike and Indian Witch Doctor/Masters had, but it was enough that the latter knew the former by name. The Witch Doctor makes a cameo at the end of the live-action film Scooby-Doo! Curse of the Lake Monster. When they watch the train go past them (after Fred pulled a switch), Scooby's new collar is blue again. The gang is on their way to Salem to see an old friend, Arlene Wilcox, who has just inherited her family's house. When they arrive, they see Squire Marley nailing the witch's sign to one of the trees. He warns them to leave, saying that Arlene has been possessed by the witch of Salem. The gang ignores his warnings and goes inside Arlene's house to find out what is going on. She tells them that Squire Marley saw the witch and claimed she looked exactly like Arlene, knowing that Arlene is a direct descendant of Milissa Wilcox. After being shown their rooms, Shaggy and Scooby dress in their Halloween costumes. Shaggy is a peasant, and Scooby is dressed like a witch, looking very similar to Milissa Wilcox. It is there that they first encounter the witch, who appears in their room. Before they can call for help, the witch disappears in a cloud of green smoke. Production-wise, this is one of the rare instances, perhaps even the only time, that Scooby is on a leash; chronologically, Scooby had been put on a leash in the A Pup Named Scooby-Doo episode A Bicycle Built for Boo!

Assuming the gang lives in the continental U.S., why is the Mystery Machine here? It would have been far easier for them to get a rental car. Indeed, this episode is the very first instance of the Mystery Machine appearing where it would make no sense. The scene of Shaggy roasting the hot dogs is virtually identical to the one in A Clue for Scooby Doo, only with the addition of Velma. Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo: Blue Scarab | Night Ghoul | Alien | Neon Phantom | Snake Demon | Sky Skeleton | Dragon Beast | Devil Bear | Sea Beast | Lady Vampire of the Bay | Star Creature | Shadow Creature | Ghost of Jeremiah Pratt | Great Haldane | Minotaur | Carl and TonyThe costume was worn by a criminal that Mystery Incorporated captured and brought to justice. The costume was then donated to the Coolsonian Criminology Museum. At this point in the series (as revealed in Spooky Space Kook), Velma is not established to be technologically proficient so it's unknown where they got the equipment (transmitter, direction finder, etc.) they used in this episode. The witch's sign (also referred to as "Mark of Mormal") is a real-life alchemical symbol for sulfur, also known as the Leviathan Cross in the occult. Shaggy puts a twist on the " Scooby-Doo, where are you?" catchphrase (which he had already said beforehand) by instead asking rhetorically, "Scooby-Doo, where were you?" when he finds him hiding in a drum case.

The piglets also start from whitish-red when they walk out from the bushes to flashing completely white when they run over Scooby and Shaggy. It's unknown if the other equipment inside the Mystery Machine besides the direction finder was actually being used in junction with it or just there for show (to make the gang look more professional). Presumably it was the former. Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get a Clue!: Phineus Phibes | Agent 1 | Agent 2 | Misty Swiss | Bruce and Brucey | Suki Sukihari | Menace | Phibes' Clones ( Evil Phibes) Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!: Elias Kingston | Zatari Warrior Spirit | Sea Creatures | Gargoyle | Ghost of Chip Braverton | Sobek | Crystal Crawler | Headless Count | Ghost of Prima Donna | Yeti | Butler 3000 | Alien | Phantoms | Pterodactyl | Wayne Bowman | Gremlin | Sorcerer | Swamp Beast | Mr. Roundy | Cyclops | Scarecrows | Cliff Bride | El Bandito | Madcap | Viking Ghosts | Toxic Mutant | Baba Yaga | Dorsalfoot | Werewolf | Evil Jester | Houndbeast | Disorient Express Monsters | Kaniaku | Ghost of Amos Littlefield | Skull Alien | Ghost of Mother | Ghost of Archie Barnes | Mutant Rabbit | Arachne | Vampire | Plant Monster | Minus | Bubby | Iceman | Ape Man | Garbage Monster | Ghost Chef | Demon of Salem | Professor Huh | Rose When Scooby looks at Shaggy trying to pull the lever, his dog collar is miscoloured like his regular one. (A bit of his body below his collar is also missing so it looks like his head is floating.) When he then reacts to helping Shaggy, the new dog collar is completely in blue. The gang had apparently been given the suit as a keepsake, but when they were forbade to pursue anymore mysteries after nabbing the wrong guy, this necessitated to remove all trace of their past mysteries, which included having a garage sale of selling off the Witch Doctor mask along with other mementos. [1] Appearances The henchman as the Witch Doctor should've made it clearer to which village was to be stayed away from because it's not the village Scooby-Doo and Shaggy Rogers had the luau on, it was the one with the secret underwater cavern, which would make more sense since that was the village Shaggy was talking about going to with the gang right before he made his warning. This perhaps is due to the writing, but an in-universe explanation could be the mistake of the henchman himself. As Fred is announcing to Daphne and Velma that they've arrived on Beach Boulevard, his teeth turn flesh coloured as his mouth half closes.
