They will say, "O woe to us! Who has raised us up from our sleeping place?" [The reply will be], "This is what the Most Merciful had promised, and the messengers told the truth." Our Prophet (ﷺ) has many names. Many of the names were given to him by later people: the Sahaba, Tabiun, and the early scholars. One of the famous scholars of the Seerah derived over 250 names of the Prophet (ﷺ). We can benefit from the names given by the people, but the names Allah (SWT) has given our Prophet (ﷺ) are the primary names with the most profound meanings. He (ﷺ) is praised in this Dunya and in the Ahirah. This is the ultimate praise. No human being has ever been praised or is praised at this point in time or who shall continue to be praised more than our Prophet (ﷺ).

We are embarking on a new series on the Seerah of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). The life and times of the greatest human being who ever lived and walked on the face of this Earth. This series is based on the lectures by Dr. Sh. Yasir Qadhi on the Seerah. So by studying the life and times of the Prophet (ﷺ), we see his miracle. We see the fact that Allah SWT sent him. Ibn Hisham's Seerah is a summarized version of Ibn Ishaq's Seerah. Ibn Hisham realized that Ibn Ishaq's version was too big. They did not have a printing press in those days. If you want the book, you will have to handwrite it cover to cover. So he decided to summarize it. Ibn Hisham did not add or re-arrange anything. He simply removed a lot of content. His Seerah is now available in four volumes. It could be that he made it into a half or a third of the original size of Ibn Ishaq' Seerah.

Today I have perfected your faith for you, completed My favor upon you, and chosen Islam as your way Seerah Of Prophet Muhammad For Kids will learn a lot about the prophet (PBUH) and about his life. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was born in Makkah to Amina and Abdullah. … The Qu’ran is this pure message that was revealed to Muhammad 1400 years ago Quraysh started a complete social boycott of Banu Abdul Muttalib: they would not marry, sit, talk, visit or do business with anyone from the group, until they agreed to hand over the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) for execution. They wrote a physical agreement that was non-negotiable. Abu Talib lived 3 years on high alert. Every night, he would make the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) switch sleeping places. Sometimes he would be so nervous, he stay up all night long, or he fixed a rotation that someone would stay up guarding the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam). After making him switch, he sometimes would still come in the middle of the night and make him switch again.Ibn Ishaq was also one of the first people to write a history of humanity. He began from Adam (AS), he worked his way down Nooh (AS), Ibrahim (AS), and then he made his way to the Prophet (ﷺ). Ibn Hisham decided to begin with the life and times of the Prophet (ﷺ). So he removed the entire section about the early history and deleted other information that he felt was not that useful. So over time, people began copying Ibn Hisham's Seerah. Allah (SWT) blessed our Prophet (ﷺ) with unique and specific characteristics. In the Qur'an, Allah (SWT) says, In Islam, Seerah refers to the Seerah of Holy Prophet (PBUH). Al-Seerah an-Nabawiyyah, often abbreviated to Seerah and translated as prophetic biography, is the Islamic culture biographies of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) from which much historical knowledge about the life of the prophet and the early period of Islam is drawn, in addition to the Quran and Hadiths. Yet another benefit of studying the Seerah is that it is a miracle of the Prophet (ﷺ). When somebody asks you, what are the miracles of the Prophet (ﷺ)? Of course, we start thinking about the splitting of the moon, the talking of the tree, etc. But, we do not realize that his whole life is a miracle from beginning to end. His whole life indicates that he was the Prophet of Allah. He (ﷺ) did not know to read and write, yet came forth with the message, the profundity, the scripture, the eloquence of the Quran; that is a miracle. The phrase sīrat rasūl allāh, or as-sīra al-nabawiyya, refers to the study of the life of Muhammad. The term sīra was first linked to the biography of Muhammad by Ibn Shihab al-Zuhri (d. 124/741-2), and later popularized by the work of Ibn Hisham (d. 833). In the first two centuries of Islamic history, sīra was more commonly known as maghāzī (literally, stories of military expeditions), which is now considered to be only a subset of sīra [2]—one that concerns the military campaigns of Muhammad.
