Description

Standard optical smoke alarms detect a fire by sending out a beam of light, using a receiver to monitor the beam. Any smoke will flow into an optical chamber within the alarm, causing the beam of light to hit the smoke and scatter the light rays.

All our alarms are subject to third-party testing and certification, giving you peace of mind protection. Our FA6720-R Heat Alarm is certified to the British Standard BS5446. Suitable for homes in England and Wales, as well as Scotland when installed following the detail set out in the new fire & CO regulations

Thermoptek technology enables optical alarms to react just as well as ionisation alarms in all instances. 2. A stable, toast-proof alarm British Standard BS 5839-6:2019 also recommends the installation of multi-sensor smoke alarm technology throughout a home. Found within our Pro Connected app is FireAngel Predict®, a unique algorithm with patented application, that uses real-time data to access the risk of a future fire event. Predict® gives potential fire risk level for the homes you list – invaluable for those caring for vulnerable family members. FireAngel Pro Connected range, featuring Thermoptek technology, also includes: Three benefits to using Thermoptek multi-sensor alarm technology 1. It provides a faster reaction time to all types of fires Devices with multi-sensor technology can log whether they have gone into a ‘Thermoptek’ sensing state – meaning whether they’ve enhanced their sensitivity by detecting temperature rise – and can inform the FRS of the ferocity of the fire. Where should you install a Thermoptek multi-sensor smoke alarm?

FireAngel heat alarms have been specifically designed for areas with fumes and high humidity such as kitchens, where cooking fumes are present, and attics or garages where there is lots of dust. Spend less time dealing with false alarms too; these smoke alarms can work out when you're just making toast. That means you can enjoy breakfast without having to stand underneath the alarm, flapping at it to stop it screeching every morning when the toaster pops! Smart Fireangel Pro Connected smoke alarms With unlimited property allocations, you can set up an alarm network in the homes of your parents, a vulnerable family member, your child’s university accommodation or in your holiday home and receive notifications for all of them. Thermoptek technology provides a much faster alert to danger in comparison to non-Thermoptek alarms, giving residents more time to escape from a property should a fire occur. Raising the alarm on all types of fire Ability to be built into hybrid networks of interlinked mains and/or battery powered devices, and when one sounds, they all sound

An audible Carbon Monoxide detector is the only way to be alerted to a carbon monoxide leak; it can’t be smelt, tasted or seen so it’s impossible for human senses to detect. We recommend a heat alarm is fitted in the kitchen, but you can also fit additional heat alarms in the garage and loft to protect these areas. Thermoptek technology provides a much faster alert to danger in comparison to non-Thermoptek alarms, giving residents more time to escape from a property should a fire occur. Identifying a need for enhanced protection Details: The FireAngel ST-625R is a 5 year battery powered alarm equipped with the market leading thermoptek muliti-sensor. The alarm responds twice as fast as a normal optical smoke alarm. the alarm's thermoptek sensor combines the latest optical sensing technology with a thermal enhancement to detect both fast flaming and slow smouldering fires. It constantly monitors for temperature change and if a sudden rise in temperature is detected the alarm sensitivity is increased. This advanced smoke sensor makes it the technology of choice for the UK's fire and rescue service.

If you live in Scotland find out more about the law in your area on our blog post here. (link to homeowner Scottish regulations blog) Our new heat alarm features Thermistor heat sensing technology to ensure you’re alerted to fires without the false reactions to cooking fumes. For faster detection, search for FireAngel Thermistek. Replace your end of life FireAngel HT-630 heat alarm with the FA6720-R to continue to be alerted to fires that may start in your kitchen, attic or garage.Noise identification – When interlinked, each unit will sound a different sound pattern depending on the triggering alarm whether smoke, heat or carbon monoxide Our FA6611-R and FA6615-R alarms will require a new MP7 baseplate installed when replacing any end of life alarms. Key features of our new range Interlinking alarms with locate feature – Silence all but the initiating alarm in a network by pressing the test button When almost 50% of fires start in the kitchen, it’s paramount you protect this room and are alerted at the first signs of danger. Combining optical sensing with thermal enhancement, Thermoptek technology uses two separate sensing elements to constantly monitor for two different by-products of fires: smoke and temperature increases.

Updates made to BS 5839-6:2019 recommends the installation of multi-sensor smoke alarm technology throughout a property. Three benefits to using Thermoptek multi-sensor alarm technology All FireAngel multi-sensor alarms include a sealed for life battery and low profile aesthetic design. Designed for easy installation, Pro Connected Thermoptek alarms are suitable for use in hallways, landings, bedrooms, living rooms and dining rooms. Alarms that use Thermoptek technology enable FireAngel to continue to support the UK’s Fire and Rescue Service (FRS) with their forensic analysis of alarms that have been involved in a fire incident.Devices with multi-sensor technology can log whether they have gone into a ‘Thermoptek’ sensing state – meaning whether they’ve enhanced their sensitivity by detecting temperature rise – and can inform the FRS of the ferocity of the fire.
